At their pace of shipping I'll probably get my black/nickel in jan/Feb being order 5268. And I ordered exactly 2hrs after the email was sent out that they were available to pre order. Literally the moment I woke up that morning.

I ordered the morning that they were first available and I am beginning to doubt that I'll see my water blocks before 2022.

Most of us definitely won’t. You know they will be closed for most of the time around Christmas and New Years. Crazy to think they can only manage 1-2 blocks per day at best.

Good catch! Dangerous buy though without the stock AIO cooler. If anything goes wrong with it your done, no rma more than likely. One thing that could be concerning is that condensation outside of the sealed coolant area? If you take a look at the rear plate, it looks like there's some condensation there where it shouldn't be. Maybe the user cleaned up the card but forgot to wipe it down good? There some on the front as well which could be the case then. It is more importantly the first sighting I've seen of the white Optimus block though. It does exist! It does look great. Now where are the silvers?

Yah, I don't know why they sell them without. Don't think they fit easily on any other card. Bad buy to buy it without.

$3800. Fairly reasonable with the Optimus block. Not so much without the original AIO. https://www.ebay.com/itm/...3bc:g:OzoAAOSw1vJhs6hE
I'm not sure if I'd call a $2100 card with a $600 block reasonable at $3800.

Well...comparatively to what the KPEs are typically posted for on ebay.

Yeah, my order (5237) is for a black block w/ bare copper heat plate. Btw, if anyone want to buy that KPE with Optimus block from eBay, I have the AIO from mine if anyone wants it (I'm currently running the HC block that I'll be selling once I get the Optimus).

I have to wonder why it doesn't come with the original AiO cooler if they only assembled it with the Optimus block and 'tested it', and then decided to go with a lesser card. Those new Optimus blocks have only been around a short while, so what happened to the AiO cooler? Based on my experience with EBay, I'm guessing they screwed up the block install and decided to sell it and make it someone else's problem (and no warranty without the original AiO cooler). I would not touch that thing at half that price. Big red flags. Reminds me of the guy on the forums recently who paid $4,000 for a supposedly new EVGA GPU which turned out to be broken (either by seller or by him, it was not clear), and then was ranting when EVGA would not replace it under warranty because of the damages to the card.

Looking over the past 6 months, it seems that kingpins on ebay sell for anywhere from $2,650 to $4,500. That's a wide range.

The price really fluctuates and depends on the buyers. If the market is dry and someone has the money with a seller with good feedback then the opportunity for a higher sale price goes up. It all depends on how bad a buyer wants it. I've seen a few hybrids back in April going for between 3k and 4k. When the hydro copper dropped it was easy 3.5 to mid 4's. It all depends on the market and what people are willing to buy. Given the possible release of the new 3000 series gpus with the vrms moved to the front side, I think the market will not support the higher prices as people might be waiting to see what comes out next before dropping above msrp for gpus that may be updated in the near future. There was a time I was thinking of selling my Kingpin because of the delays in the release of the Optimus block. I was tracking the sell price on ebay for the Kingpins just to see what I might get for the gpu. In the end, I decided to keep the Kingpin due to it's rarity and performance.

I had received an offer of $4.5K USD for mine earlier in the year. Bin quality matters as well. Overclock teams/groups are very interested in buying ones that are likely to be good overclockers for the LN2 hall of fame runs. Instead....I decided to be an idiot and keep it and spend another $700 on an Optimus block for it. :P
Need to spamtribute 100 posts for Elite status to be able to get a KingPin because Jacob. My apologies in advance.

I hear you Hyper, I've had second thoughts about keeping my KP. Don't know what I'd do if someone offered by 4.5k for mines. To be honest, I'd probably have taken it since I am already using a 3090 FTW3 Ultra now with an Optimus block on it. Would have saved me a ton of frustration waiting on the KP Block. I've been looking at the 3090 strix as for something I'd be interested in messing around with and had someone bought my KP I might have gone that route.

Based on my experience and the experience of several other Kingpin 3090 owners I know, I feel that most of the really good overclocking kingpin 3090 cards get set aside for EVGA to give out or sell to the top overclockers and some of the tech media(and of course a few for Vince). For example, the VRAM overclocks that I see them get with the stock hybrid cooler is insane. The GPU overclocks they get with stock voltage and stock cooling seem well above average. Maybe I won the silicon lottery with other brands models of 3090 cards I've owned and tested in builds for other people, but the Gaming X Trio watercooled and Strix watercooled(EKWB water block) cards I've had in my system achieve higher overclocks on stock voltage than most of the kingpins I've owned(when the KPs are also water cooled and the GPU and coolant temps are similar). When building water cooled systems for other people I've also tested their 3090 overclocking and found that many of the higher end(Strix/Suprim) cards do as well with GPU overclocks on stock voltage when compared to the Kingpins. My Gaming X Trio, can beat most of the Kingpins I've had in stable GPU overclocks even when I increase the GPU voltage on the Kingpins. My Gaming X Trio with an EKWB is stable at 2300+ MHz on the GPU with chilled water using the MSI 3090 Suprim 450 watt BIOS. The water temps and GPU temps were the same or close to the same for the GPU tests when I'm comparing the kingpin and other cards. Also the vastly different overclocking limits(with stock voltage and raised voltages) of the Kingpin 3090s I've owned shows that the cards are really inconsistent. To get my top port royal score for the NVLink/SLI 3090s Kingpins(it was a top 3 score until recently) I spent most of the time tweaking the individual cards. Both in SLI and when in the same system as a singe card, their stable GPU and VRAM speed were vastly different. The stable VRAM overclocks were several hundred MHz different on the sliders in PX1 for both single card and when in SLI/NVLink. I know one of the big selling points of the Kingpin is to have the ability of using software to control the voltages when overlocking. However, if the random sample of off the shelf gaming cards from other manufacturers(using stock voltage) overclock just as wella s my Kingpin cards, I question the quality of binning and overclocking abilities that the average consumer gets with Kingpins. Are they that phenomenal or special when their GPU and VRAM overclocks aren't exceptional compared to off the shelf gaming cards? Is it that the top 10% or top 1% of Nvidia Ampere GPUs just aren't that much better in overclocking compared to the average Nvidia Ampere GPU? If it wasn't for EVGA's warranty and customer service, I would have sold my Kingpins for a profit and just stuck a pair of Strix or Gaming X Trio/Suprim cards with EK water blocks in my PC and gave up on overclocking in a semi competitive manner this generation. Maybe its just that I've just been really unlucky with the KP 3090 silicon lottery and so have the other KP 3090 owners I've talked with about their overclocking experiences. Either way, my plan was to keep the kingpins for a few years and the EVGA Hydro Copper blocks aren't that good in my experience, so that's why I got the Optimus Water Blocks for the cards.

Your not wrong with evga saving the best kps for the top overclockers. Both my 2080 ti and 3090 will not do above 2500 mhz on ln2.
With the 2080 ti I got to 12th place single card port royal on ln2 at just over 12000 pts. On stock cooling I was 200 points short of even making the board.
With the 3090 kp stock my best was 2160 mhz with 15296 points. Last time I did ln2 I think I got just over 17000 pts without the new xoc rebar bios as it didn't exist then. It did 2505mhz for that one run. Haven't seen that clock since. But I also know the gpu dies really need to be lapped, which I'll never do because I can't afford nor could I get another kp card.
