EKWB shifted. I just needed to cut off a small section and it fits perfectly.

May end up sticking horizontal as where the GPU sits atm the PCIE cable causes issue with the outlet port, if I lower the card it’ll block the LCD on the MB so going to see if I can raise it a slot or find an easier linkup cable to use

Did you happened to take a photo of what you cut off from the EKWB shifted? I’m just curious because I have the non shifted version.

The shifted version moves the gpu forward away from the case's PCI slots.  They make the shifted for certain cases which have cross members above and below each PCI slot.  Cases with a wide open case PCI slot area can use the regular.  Basically when you remove the case covers, is the area formally covered by the covers wide open or are there thin metal braces across the areas preventing a wide open area.  
 
You can see in Shawn's first picture that the gpu is mounted to what looks like a block, that is the shifted EK vertical mount.  You can also see in that picture that Shawn's case has metal braces going above and below each of the individual PCI slots.  In his case, these braces would prevent the standard EK or most other vertical mounts to be used without modifying the case or going with a "shifted" type mount that allows access to the GPU output plugs.  

Thx for the explanation. But because of the back plate/cooling block, the KPE will not fit because of the way the vertical mount is made. It was designed for non active back plate.

Was basically part of the mount to the MB. I never used that anyways.

Thigh aware with how thick the block is it will get in the way of the PCIE cable

Thanks for the pic. The support to the MB was cut off, understood. Too bad we can’t use the PCIE cable. I have the LinkUp riser cable in hand. But at least it will fit the MB

I’m likely still a few weeks away from powering it up. I tend to work very slow and 63 fans, 6 pumps takes a bit to wire if you want it all clean.

As for going vertical, it felt tight even without the cable, like barely enough room to put a 90 degree on it. I’ll see if I can do more testing tomorrow.

I also bought too long a Linkup cable, 10cm longer then I needed so that may play a factor. I’ll test more tomorrow and see what fits.

That's what I'm worried about as well. I checked the EK vertical mount kit's specification earlier today. I found the GPU sits very close to the motherboard. Now this block has a very thick terminal and requires the port on the back for outlet. Space will be tight for this outlet fitting.

Supposedly 5214 was the highest on 12/3 and 5221 was shipped on 12/10.  Assuming all those orders are KPE blocks, looks like 7 a week?  If that holds (who knows), we should be getting shipping notifications this week.  There's not a lot of transparency to see if they can keep the pace up.

It looks like for whatever reason black seems to be the color they are shipping first.  I haven't seen anything other than black posted.  I am waiting on silver/nickel and I think Mech is also similar as well.  

They claim to shipping via order number just that a large majority was black hence why that's all you've seen. Plus it's only really been at best a handful of us who's posted pics so far so that can't really be indicative of anything
