Are you guys just going off your overall order number? I can't imagine there are a ton of orders for this KPE block... Considering the relatively low number produced and the even lower number of people who will do this modification. I ordered 4 weeks ago so I guess I may be waiting a while...

But other order/subsequent order numbers could be totally unrelated to KPE orders (etc people ordering fittings, reservoirs, etc.), so it just a rough reference essentially?

I'm 5237. I never did get a response to the email I replied to a few months back picking the color combo I wanted. Is that normal and the next communication I will get from Optimus is when the shipping label is created?

A vertical mount might be an option if it doesn't fit. Lian Li makes one for the O11 XL that has multiple mounting points that allows you to move the gpu either closer or further from the mobo when used. You just need to make sure you have a long enough PCI-E riser cable to accommodate the movement necessary. You should be able to use their mount in any pc case as long as it has a similar amount of slots available to fit the mount.
I'm limited to the EK Shifted mount due to my case so I'll likely have to modify it to make it work. I'm rocking a Caselabs TH10 not a O11 XL I'm order #5209 so I should be in the first batch, but I'm also having Optmius installing the block so that could delay me as well though I hope not
I don't think the EK shifted mount will work with the Optimus KPE block because of the active backplate plexiglass thickness.

I don't think they are shipping out via order numbers. Might be too complicated for them. I'm thinking they are doing it by color first and then order numbers cause my order number is lower than elbramso and I still don't have anything updated for my order number or a shipping notification.

The fact that we need to be guessing their procedure to ship a 700$ waterblock after 6-7 months of waiting… is to say the least hilarious 😅

You're probably right, even though they said in twitter that they will ship out by order number (take their tweet updates with a truck load of salt). Notice that they only showed the black option with all of their tweet updates.

Maybe I should have been more of a fan boy and then they would push my order out. Love their products, but whoever releases their tweets again seems to have dropped the ball. Kinda of frustrating after waiting so long and having the GPU sit there waiting to have further delays just because of color or their lack of clarity on shipping process. Even though I can't work on the block yet since their delays pushed me back into hopefully receiving the block while my home renovations are ongoing I'd still want it here instead of not knowing when it would ship or come in. The closer you get to the light at the end of the tunnel the harder it is for me to be patient.

mech9t5 Not sure if this is user error or just bad design/manufacturing, but after weeks of delays and supposedly design improvements, one user posted this on Optimus’ Twitter page:
https://mobile.twitter.co...us/1468078307035992068
There's a possibility that's user error. The first page of the instructions on their webpage states specifically not to overtighten the screws or you will end up with PCB bending issues. Anyway, my order number is 5300, but I also haven't kept my mouth shut with regards to critiquing them on Twitter so we'll see how that goes.

Mech9t5, Not sure how the user mounted it, but it looks like that PCB is toast. I'm thinking vertical mount is a must looking at what happened to that card. Might also need a anti sag post as well to support some of the weight of the block. Maybe this block is too heavy. Only time will tell. It will be interesting to see if that user is going to get an RMA approved by EVGA based on that picture. Hate to be that user, that block got real expensive for that user. Something doesn't look right in either that assembly or fitment. That PCB looks like it cracked already. I would like to know how that user mounted their KP to be honest. Looks like it was horizontal, but can't be sure until that users shares his/hers experience. Their block design for the FTW3 uses the screws nearest the signal outputs, to mount the backplate but the block FTW3 block should be lighter than the KP due to active cooling rear plate. Not sure why they didn't extend the back plate and top plate to those screws as well. Lets see what Optimus says about this. I still haven't gotten my shipment notification yet. I did get my FTW3 block in today though so that was nice. I ordered it in White Cerakote and it looks pretty good.

Honestly based on that picture I'm not sure they've even put this into their PC yet. It looks like all they did was install the block. As for shipping, I'm willing to bet they sent a small amount of orders out last week and will do another batch towards the end of this week. I can't imagine they had a lot of these to produce but we can only guess as to their manufacturing capabilities.

Copper will be absolutely fine. More worried about overall fit and finish. The user at overclock.net had some great thermal performance, claiming 32-33c temps with a 500w load, despite the PCB bending. Hope it was installer error or overtightened.

That thermal pad looks like it’s trying to pop lol in my opinion that’s 99.9% likely to be user error. It’s also the screw underneath the pcb causing the pcb to bend, the one that is circled is bending the block itself. You could probably argue with the time it’s taken they should’ve developed a fool-proof system and provided screwdrivers that torque-lock though 😂

That photo shows that the metal backplate has bent and it seems like it has slightly separated from the acrylic.

Looks like installer error and overzealous tightening to me as well, albeit the issue with the HDMI/displayport clearance he also had an issue with maybe not so much. With the amount of hours and design that has gone into this, I'd hope a simple fitment issue like that wouldn't be present, but it has yet to be seen. We have one sample so far in the hands of a consumer that has provided photos. More will be posting theirs soon I hope. I probably won't get mine until 2022. Edit: the mounting pressure on the overall PCB really should be minimal, just enough to slightly compress the thermal pad evenly. Maybe this user thought it had to be much tighter like mounting a CPU block. The thermal pad is there for a reason to make up for variable contact pressure throughout and heat distribution. Mounting of the actual heatsink over the GPU core would be much more exacting than the thermal pad and backplate. After seeing how deep the indentations in his thermal pad were in other photos, it seems like he basically stood on the thing.
