I more or less really view this as nvidia doing what intel does with its none K and K/KF/KS cpu's. They have chips that didn't make the cut for the AI order for clocks. So instead of disabling cuda cores and turning it into a 4080 losing more money they sell it as a no frills base clock locked 4090D.
