Dabadger84 If anyone gets ahold of an AMD 5900x & is willing to sell it for a reasonable price to someone that's actually going to put it to good use, I'm willing to pay a reasonable amount for your acquirement of it - got my motherboard choice for the X570 build path picked, just need a CPU, and with all the stories of the 5800x being a hotbox of a CPU, I'm not really interested in buying that as a temporary CPU until I can get my hands on a higher end one. Good luck on the drops guys!
On your KP, did you switch out the fans and I am looking at the noctua F12's to replace mine.
I already bought a set of EK Vardar EVO fans to replace the original fans. Hoping to get the KP by the end of this month...btw, congratulations on your KP!
Thank you. Is there a reason you went with the EK's over Noctua's? I am trying to keep it under 50c. also weirdly enough I am drawing up to 549w in the LN2 Bios but yet noticing once it goes past 50c it will lower the scores, even with stable higher clocks.
Yes. My brother had the F12's in his computer and I was not impressed with the flow/noise performance. I replaced it with the EK, and it gave much better flow/noise performance in terms of heat dissipation on his AIO.
Roger that I’ll give that a look into on those. I’m in the middle of replacing all of the fans in my DG-85. It provides a lot of airflow but that don’t mean much when the fans are not giving enough flow.
You should also compare the flow rate, but most importantly the static pressure. High flow rate and low static pressure is not good for radiators; that's good for cases.

Roger. I’m fixing those blunders lol I’m chasing how to get that KP below the temperature. I have been thinking about breaking it down as well and replacing paste etc.. to help keep it cooler as well.

Oh wow. Thanks for the info on the fans! I have been scouting out those same type of fans for that very same reason. Gonna ditch the 3 on the AIO and replace them, also. The irony is, I literally, just an hour ago, received the Noctua fans I ordered. Going to try them out on my CPU AIO and see if they are worthy of residing on the Kingpin. I have never heard of EK and it looks like they might be getting my business shortly. $50 for a fan? If it does what is said they do, it'd be worth it to me. Again, thanks for the info.

They say a picture can say a thousand words, here's two: The stock fans on the Kingpin radiator are utter garbage, highly recommend replacing them with "anything" else. I have 6 EK Vardars in Push/Pull, at idle they run at ~950RPM which is completely silent & still lets the card idle in the 22-24C range on GPU main temp readout, under load, they ramp up quite a bit, but I'm not a noise snob so it doesn't bug me, I game with headphones on, so them getting up in to the 1800-2000RPM range really doesn't bug me that much at all. And they only get that high when it's under heavy load (fan speed is adjusted based on GPU radiator exhaust temp).

How far have you been able to push the KP with that? Also, using the classified tool or jump on the XOC bios.

zerocool101 Welp, just over 1 month and now my KPE pump is making grinding noises... Waiting for RMA and I called in and they said I'd be getting a refurb KPE...that's just crap https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUMAx88ogwU
You'd think they'd offer to see if you're willing to just swap the AIO yourself & send you a new unit without having to exchange the whole card. If the pump is the problem, they could either swap the AIO out at their facilities, or if you're comfortable doing it, let you. Kinda silly that's not an option tbh - if the card itself is fine, why not do that. I'd ask them & see if they'll give you that option - that is, if you can go without the card for a bit. I wouldn't be able to do that because I literally don't have a backup GPU, I'd have to run on my CPU IGP which does not get along with this monitor apparently (last time I tried to output video from my motherboard's output to this monitor it just kept cycling on and off like there was signal then there isn't) - something I need to look in to for sure, getting a backup that can serve temporarily should the need arise.

Congrats on your new card, but this is the kingpin queue thread. Not sure how you got your card if it was through the queue or the stepup program but I'm sure those in those queues would appreciate you sharing your info in the appropriate thread. Enjoy your new card though and don't forget to register it for the warranty.

Well guys, looks like it's going to be slow for the next couple of weeks. Anyone hear back from Steven who is position 1 if he was able to order his Kingpin? I would imagine EVGA would work with him on it, but would be nice to hear back from him. On the bright side, I just got my new Asus X570 Dark Hero mobo today. My case came in this past weekend so now all I'm waiting on is a hydro-copper Kingpin or the hybrid. Have to decide how I want to do my case for now. I can just move all my stuff in and change out the PSU, Mobo, and CPU into the new case. But I can also start with my open loop system in addition to the other new parts, I'm thinking of running soft tubes for now and cycling both 360mm rads I have in preparation for my full open loop system. Once i get a hydro copper card I already have the hard tube and fittings for it. I did have fun rebuilding a friends Intel I9-850 based pc this past weekend. It's kinda fun working on pcs especially when you don't have to pay for the parts or make a living doing it either. Best of luck to everyone waiting in the queues or step ups. I'm trying not to follow the list for the kingpin too much as I keep moving back everytime I look. Have a great week.

No worries, but I'm sure those in the "new EVGA.com notification checkout process" forum would love to hear you got the 3070. They post all cards there so at least others who are waiting on the same card you got can know that there was some movement today. Contrats on your new card, but be sure to sign up for the warranty and since you just got the card to look at the step up program and their extended warranty. If you choose to do the step up program, it's a really good program through EVGA that allows you to basically trade up when a card becomes available. They apply what you paid for your original card minus shipping and taxes toward a new card. The step up queue is moving very slow, but it's something you might want to look into since you don't pay until your spot comes up. Basically it's free to do, but you have to register for it within the first 14 days of getting your card. Enjoy your card, and as Enewt would say he is glad your wait while longer than you would have wished has come to an end and to enjoy the gaming goodness.

Yeah a really doubt that we will see any drops this week. I am thinking that we will see a drop mid next week and hoping that it will be a sizeable one, for all our sakes.

KPE's average every 3 weeks and generally on Wednesdays. I would expect the next drop to be next week (March 31st). Crossing fingers for today though.

I agree that we can expect a drop mid next week, but it's well pass the drop time for the KPE. There have been some drops for other SKUs already, around 10:20 am PT or so.

Honestly the $70 price hike is nothing in comparison to places like Newegg selling all newly stocked 3090's $500+ over MSRP. And that's directly from Newegg too, not even 3rd party sellers. Don't forget that KPE's are going for like $3000+ on Ebay too with bids.

Yeah I know it would just be nice to save that bit because it's just more that I can put towards other parts is all I would gladly pay the $70 apart from the $500-$1000+ on other sites

I think that is what people forget about the queues and what EVGA did with their prices. They could have just hiked the prices all together back in January, but they allowed for some to get the previous price. I am still waiting and it's more than likely a sure thing that I wont get my new card before the price hike. But the glass is still half full that EVGA didn't go full crazy with their price hike like some of the other companies did. Asus and MSI cost went up a couple hundred dollars for each of their higher end cards so as much as I would like to have the lower price, I do appreciate the fact that atleast some of us got their new cards with the grandfathered prices. It is more than again most companies would do, so I do give credit to EVGA for trying. They can't eat that increased cost for everyone, but in our case atleast it's a more bearable than those other companies.

Gotspeed_2000 I think that is what people forget about the queues and what EVGA did with their prices. EVGA IS THE FREAKING BEST BY A COUNTRY MILE.

Hi - Figured I would add my name to the list. I already have a 3090 FTW3 Ultra that I converted to Hybrid, so I'm not in a rush, but I put my name in the queue for a KP on: 2-26-21 at 4:40pm (I canceled my queue for the 3080, but apparently, I never did for the 3090s, and haven't yet received a notify from 11/24/20 at 8:40 am.)

EVGA Autonotify is by far the best there is in the business. EVGA kicks freaking butt. Period. Good luck getting an Asus GPU, or a MSI Video Card, or even a Gigabyte one (gross), but EVGA makes it easy, and painless to get a GPU and I think we all need to take a moment to say thank you. So, thank you EVGA :)
