I wasn't planning on upgrading from my 2080 any time soon, but I happened to check my email and I had just received the in-stock notification from EVGA. I logged in and ordered it without even stopping to read what I was buying. I got free shipping, no taxes, legitimately bought a 2080Ti for $999.
In hindsight I wish I would've sprung for expedited shipping, but I was in such a rush, because I knew that it would only be in stock for a few minutes at best. It's estimated arrival is next Tuesday.
I have a water block that will fit the card, so we'll see if it's "binned" to be the lowest performer. Which, even if so, it would still be a good deal compared to $1200.
Anyone know of any actual reviews on the model? I can't seem to find any.

Awesome to hear! Definitely interested in finding out which chip and if the default boost speeds are similar when not throttled.

    According to this site https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/evga-rtx-2080-ti-black.b6366
it has the TU102-300A-K1-A1 GPU, but I have no clue how accurate that is. I'll take pictures when I break it down to the PCB, if someone else hasn't gotten around to it yet.

If the 2080ti black ($999) is the 300a I am left wondering what is the $150 difference between that card and the card I ordered the $1150 XI Gaming.
Cause if they are both 300a, the $1150 is basically $150 for only 15mhz.

Crap. I may end up trying to return my 2080ti XI black if that is true.

    -edit-

Hrmm, looking at that site you posted it says the XC Black that I ordered is actually clocked at 1635mhz instead of the 1545mhz on EVGA's listing.
Now I have to wonder which one is right.

I did the same thing, but "did stop to read what I was buying," and the item disappeared from my cart. Gone in two minutes, I'm estimating. Feels very bait and switch, how these cards are being placed sporadically for order. Ughh....

It could just be the reference clock speed on the non-xc black. Binning. Of course supply and demand. I'm sure most gamers would rather buy a 2080 Ti for $999 that is a horrible over-clocker than pay the extra $150 for a card that is a decent overclocker. Because the performance difference isn't that great, and in my experience  with the 2080 I saw bigger performance gains from overclocking memory rather than the core. But my 2080 seems to have been a special case since I was able to get 1000+ memory clock, it probably could've been more but Afterburner caps it there.

You could return your XC Black, but then you'd probably be waiting a long time to get a hold of the non-XC. As I'm sure many thousands have them on auto-notify waiting to scoop them up and either use them or re-sell them for profit.
Even the $1149 cards sell like hotcakes.

During the mining craze I was able to buy an EVGA card, "after" several attempts. A split second makes the difference. This time I paid via paypal to avoid the time of having to enter card info or risking card security blocking the transaction.
I am sure quantity is limited, whether it is a hundred or a thousand available, after the articles and webcasts that hyped this card up when EVGA put it up on their website, I'm sure the demand outweighs the quantity.
No way I could justify spending $1200 on a videocard to the wife. But getting such a "deal" really smoothed things over. lol

Good point about paypal. I'll try that method next time rather than inputting the credit card.
Regardless, I got to be quicker, when it comes to this game of bait and switch.
LOL at justifying "spending $1200 on a videocard to the wife."
I don't personally have that "problem," anymore (), but couldn't justify that price to even myself. LOL
$999.99 is the sweet spot for this Berniebro.

This is probably the best deal. The FTW3 I assume is a minimal FPS gain compared to a stock 2080ti. You're paying for the cooler and advertising hype basically.  I wonder how the temps will be and how loud the card is.

I ordered the same card as well.  Tuesday delivery too.

Check out the shipping references on UPS.  I ordered the hydrocopper block too, and it had the same part number.

The part number for my 2080ti ended with "krx1"

I wonder what the x1 signifies.

Crap.. Now I have to decide if I want to return my XC gaming and just wait for a Black to save the $150 difference.
Or accept the $150 difference and not have to wait for the Black to appear back in stock..

I got the XC thinking the Black wasn't a 300a, but if it is I'd perfer to exchange them out.
I have 12 days left on my return, if the black comes in stock I will try to exchange for the cheaper card. Come on Black models!

Yeah, I'd rather pay $1000 for a stock 2080 Ti than $850 for a high end 2080. Some people really value aesthetics though. I bought a Gigabyte 2080 Windforce OC at launch, because it was the only 2080 in stock on NewEgg. I bought a waterblock from China, which works great, I connected it to my loop and it kept the card running at about 62c during use. I wasn't able to get a better overclock, but it definitely prevented throttling.
The waterblock is compatible with the EVGA 2080 ti cards, so I am going to hook it up to that.
It will be a plus if the card has the Nvidia overclock-worthy binned GPU. If not, at least I have a 2080 Ti.

Interesting, my part number on the invoice is "11G-P4-2281-KR" The
maybe the x1 signifies quantity 1? Or who knows, maybe they ran out of stock and upgraded you rather than cancel the order. Could be additional color plates or something too. I'm hoping that someone gets it over the weekend and releases some more info on it. I really want to know which GPU model number it will have. If it has the 300A, it will be an even better deal than I expect.

All I can say is that my shipments both arrive Tuesday, and I will be taking the air cooler off immediately and putting on the block.  I plan on taking pictures and then seeing what it hits overclocking.

FWIW, I got the same card, my tracking number says it will arrive on Monday. Like the OP, small amount of regret for not getting faster shipping, but also feeling pretty darn good about a legit $999.99 MSRP 2080 Ti. I've got a thread going about my purchase over on .

Hi guys ! If someone have the Ti Black Gaming Edition can compare the result in GPU-Z with me for the temperature and the core clock in iddle ?
I'm worried. I dont know if this is normal. But the card works perfectly fine for the moment.

I have : 1050 MHz & 54 degree for iddle and max temp 72 degree in big game like Black Ops 4.

    Thanks you

My XC arrives Monday as well.

And sadly I think I am just going to return it. The idea of losing a extra $150 after dropping $1150 for a GPU is a hard pill to swallow.
Luckily as long as I don't open it I get a 100% refund after I ship it back.

Then I get to play the re-fresh page game until the cheaper one comes back into stock.

Keep in mind that this appears to have been the first batch of $999 black editions released. It may just be EVGA's worst overclocking 2080ti chips being sold, or it may even be then non "A" GPUs. Personally, I could never bring myself to pay over the $1000 mark, but if you can afford it $1150 seems to be a good deal for a 2080 Ti these days too. All I see are $1299+ 2080 Ti cards in stock online. I wasn't even planning on upgrading from my 2080 and just jumped on the $999 price tag because it is a ridiculously good deal.
We'll see though, if it can keep up with the XC, even if it doesn't I'm happy to have a 2080 Ti for $999 even if it overclocks like crap.

You are going to lose shipping three times over this way. The XC shipping st purchase, for return, and then the Black shipping. unless you found free shipping, then you only lose it once.

I have mine on order too.  I originally had mine arriving monday, but got a delay notification from UPS now saying Tuesday.  Its currently sitting in Chicago.

I got the in stock notification on Monday at 7:26pm and my order was processed at 7:42pm.  I checked a few minutes later and it was out of stock.  So I would say it was a good 20 minute window.  That being said, I imagine there were quite a few of these sold in that window.

That was nice move, RTX2080Ti for 999$.
I'm never satisfied, now when I have good Pascal I want to try hard more to replace him for TITAN XP.
I don't know why... but I want TITAN XP. TITAN X is slower than my card and I don't want him because Poseidon on water give around 7500 Firestrike Ultra Graphic Score But TITAN Xp is 2% faster, and with him I could use Heatkiller IV CPU Block and I have full CUDA Chip.
I will be patient. Maybe I should wait little more, not because RTX, but because TITAN Xp to price drop.
Now people ask around 700$ for him but bidders increase price up to 800$.

I activated the notification maybe a month or so ago, and it just popped up randomly. It really is just luck. Specially since I'm sure quite a good number of people set up bots to order them as soon as they're in stock, which is why EVGA limits sales to one per household. I'm betting that a good number will just be marked up and resold by scalpers.

Yeah, I'd rather pay $1000 for a stock 2080 Ti than $850 for a high end 2080. Some people really value aesthetics though.

Congrats to all that were able to pick up this card as I did read the entire thread especially if it does come with the 300A!

My comment has nothing to do with the Black but with aesthetics. I went with the FE 2080ti's ONLY for looks. Just haven't been into the looks of any aftermarket card over the past 4-5 years. When I fist saw that the blower style was gone in favor of dual fans from the FE, I immediately jumped on the PO and so far have zero regrets.

I'll come back and let everyone know if I still feel this way when the numbers for the Titan RTX are released next week!

Cant post links, so here's the one i ordered. From Scan UK.
Scan code: LN93970 Manufacturer code: 11G-P4-2281-KR

I assume this is the card we are talking about?

If so, mine was supposed to arrive last Friday.
The new estimated arrival date is Monday.

Agreed that the FE cards do look the best in this generation. No doubt the Titan RTX will be a beast, but it is also going to start at $3,000 and up apparently. That is way out of the range of any graphics card I would buy, short of winning the lottery. I consider aesthetics last when building my personal PC. I am more concerned with quality name brands. If a part "happens" to have LEDs and a nice look, great. But I definitely am all about getting high end at a good price. For those who spent close to 3k for 2080 Ti Sli setups, they will probably have regrets.

Correct, same card. Mine still shows a Tuesday arrival, hopefully it doesn't get pushed back.

You are going to lose shipping three times over this way. The XC shipping st purchase, for return, and then the Black shipping. unless you found free shipping, then you only lose it once.

    Actually none of the above.
Shipping was free on the purchase, and they recalled the package. So i never paid for shipping, or will I on the next order.

Mine is currently located in the UK. Depending on how fast it travels over the waters and to my door, I'm estimating it will actually arrive tuesday or wednesday.
But. I've never actually ordered anything from the UK before.

My plan with this card was to slap a Morpheus II on it.
But, only after I have used it for a month or so to see that it isnt unstable/having the issues some have reported.

I'll cross my fingers for you and your card, you'll make a lovely couple!

My tracking number also got delayed until Tuesday. However, I checked it this morning and it's out for delivery today. Now, I'm just crossing my fingers that my wife hears the driver and signs for it.
