This is really strange, yesterday everything was just fine, benchmark scores all normal, but today, my 2080ti seems to have dropped below the level of a 1080ti performance wise.

Just looking at port royale benchmark as an example, I was scoring around 9350-9450 but today I'm only at 6000, even watching the fps as its running shows a massive drop, where I'd normally be seeing 40fps im now seeing 25fps.

The same issue extends to games and other benchmarks too, my firestrike score was around 22k for gfx, that's a fair bit below where my old 1080ti would hit.

What's even stranger is that my gpu core clocks are pretty good (it's a cold morning and shes running cool), normally I'd be seeing 2055-2080mhz, this morning I'm ticking along at 2115-2130mhz.

-I've checked to make sure windows update isnt running, nor anything else unusual.
-Ive rolled back to an older driver
-Ive let the computer sit running for about an hour just to exclude any update/av scan type activity I couldn't see.

None of the above made the slightest difference, any ideas?

CPU hits around 55-65 degrees during the physics tests on firestrike/timespy, which is pretty normal for my system.

Disable any software that includes frame rate limiters, and perform a clean install of your graphics drivers after cleaning out your old ones with ddu.

Hmm, well, I think I've found the culprit, nzxt cam software.

While it doesn't show that its using excessive system resources in task manager, closing it does reinstate my previous performance pretty much instantly.

If it wasn't a necessary evil to control my aio and lighting, I'd have removed cam a long time ago, really more trouble than it's worth!

    Thanks all.

I don't think I've ever heard or seen anyone say anything positive about that NZXT CAM software . Shame, as they are nice-looking as far as AIO's go. Glad that's all it was that was causing your issue.
