I love that apparently everyone who ordered this $999.99 video card said, "hell no, I'm not paying for shipping!" The $1k mark shall not be crossed. :D

I received mine.
It was heavier than i expected, but also smaller.
It was smaller than my gtx950, which i didn't really expect.

Had some issues in Battlefield 5 though. Kept crashing, then i changed to use directx 12 instead of 11. No more crashes so far.

Havn't looked at the physical chip yet, as i didn't have time.

So I got mine in today.  Came home to a nice little present.

Of course I opened it up to see if it would be the 300 or the 300a

I wonder what the K3 means!

Time to put it back together and see if I can sneak it in under my hard tubing and do some testing before the water block arrives tomorrow!

Same, I got mine, added the water block and over clocks pretty great. Despite "not" having the binned version of the GPU.

Thanks Tim!!!  I was wondering if we would be able to hit 2000mhz!!!

I tried sneaking mine in under my hard tubing, but will just be waiting to put the hydrocopper on to it tomorrow when it arrives.  Just not enough room, and would have to do way too much to change my loop entirely for a day, when I will already need to make adjustments for the new port locations on the hydrocopper.

I have heard some people become power limited with the 300a and have flashed bios.   I wonder if our cards will be more affected on the top end due to the possibility of increased power consumption.

Wow interesting and here I thought and have read that the non "A" chips don't overclock.

Those are some good numbers you got there!

So thats two cases of the Black having the 300 and not the 300a.
Even though I returned my Evga XC $1150, which I assume is the first set of 300a's, I'll still get a black.
Looks like they still overclock just as good.

Sorry to hear that man.

Did you update to the latest drivers?

I thought the lastest drivers was supposed to fix alot of the crashes/bsod issues.

I have 417.22, I downloaded them today.  I ran some other stuff, including some benchmarks in 3DMark and OctaneBench, seemed fine there.  Downloading BFV now.

Psst, Jack... nailed it! :-P

Hey Grendel, Arctic Silver 5 is slightly capacitive and also has a 200 hour burn in time.

Arctic MX-4 has no burn in and it is not capacitive.

MX-4 > Silver 5 since temperatures come out to nearly the same between the two.

Maybe I had a bad seating but Mx-4 ran alittle hotter than the Noctua and Silver 5 for me.

I am using the Barrow waterblock. Cheap but it works perfectly. I was able to keep the original backplate on the card. I have it in a loop with a 120mm radiator 240mm radiator, six fans(both push and pull) and an i5-9600k overclocked to 5ghz.

I noticed the same thing. There wasn't even a driver installation disk or a user manual, there was just a small piece of paper with installation instructions. Fine by me as I never use the things anyway. Considering it was just a card in the box, it is huge.

To be fair, the user manual for a gpu goes a lot like this:

“Install in x16 pci slot. Install power cables. Go download the newest driver because the disk we would have sent is out of date by now and the card will get you online with a generic driver loaded.”

:-)

They cut costs all around to bring a $999 card to the table. I like that EVGA is doing what they can when other companies don’t seem to be too worried about it.

Its a $1k item.

Easy on the masked language. I removed the one you used.

The free shipping was probably a Black Friday/cyber Monday week long deal.

My bad.  It's been a long week and it's only Monday still.

Anyhoo, yeah I've seen many benches and majority, including my own experience blows AS5 out of the water when it comes to MX-4.  Maybe some newer TIMs perform just as well but MX-4 hasn't let me down.

Its good to hear what the capabilities of the 300 chips are on water.
I'm waiting to see what the stock cooler is capable of. 1700's would be nice. 1800's would be nicer. 1900's would be nicer-er. 2000's would just be the nicest.

I use MX-4 as well, but before few days I look performance of Thermal Grizzly and I don't think that past deserve such hype.
EVGA RTX2080Ti Black Edition with intention to watercooling is best option at the moment.
I should much earlier enter in watercooling. Make whole PC more interesting.
RTX2080Ti Black Edition OC 100MHz I think most of them will can on watercooling and full cover Heatkiller IV with backplate, amazing for games.

Well, I'm not planning to WC or OC mine for a bit, so these are from the stock cooler. I mostly spent time with it last night via gaming, not fiddling, but the potential to boost up to ~1900 MHz with the stock cooler is certainly there. I'll work on getting average numbers tonight, maybe from a load like Heaven, but it seemed like the card liked the ~1770 MHz for sustained load in DayZ and Ark.

I've attached some pics of my card as well, in case they show off detail someone is looking for.

I ran the scanner and it gave me a score of 89. I plugged 80 in as my OC and ran a test. It passed. In Superposition, that leaves my 2080 Ti Black hanging out around 1785-1800 MHz with the temp between 70-73°. I'm going to leave it there for now, probably until I put a hybrid cooler on it sometime in the future.

Is that how it's supposed to work, though? Scan and then input the score as the overclock amount?

Edit: That's with the power slider at 112% BTW.
