UPDATE Well, it's been a few days since I've posted. I have been busy though. I've been going through all the old computer cases that I've accumulated over the years. Most of them are Dell's and other such proprietary crap. For the most part, I've just stripped them for the hard drives. You can never have too many hard drives! I did however manage to find an Asus P5Q Pro Motherboard. https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5Q_PRO/ I also cleaned out an older Cooler Master case, and I'm installing the P5Q into that. I'm debating whether or not I want to use my fancy CPU Cooler on this or save it for a better MB later. I do have a good Intel cooler, but I need the plastic locking pieces before I can use it. I've got 3 sets of DDR2 RAM for it, shouldn't be a problem finding a set that is good, (pretty sure it's all good). As you can see in the photo above, I'm installing a set of OCZ Platinum PC2 8500 RAM. I'm going to put the Q6600 CPU that came out of my system into it to confirm whether or not it's good. Of course, I always have a Duo Core chip to fall back on if the Quad Core proves to be faulty. Just ignore the thermal compound on the CPU - I'm going to clean it properly when I install the cooler. It's just in there so it doesn't get lost, and to protect the socket. Not too sure how much time I'll have to devote to this project over the next couple of days. I've got the usual month end errands like grocery shopping and such to do. I've also arranged to buy a portable dishwasher off of someone on Craigslist Taxi driver is going to love me! Nothing worse than standing at the sink doing dishes by hand when you have a bad back! I'll let you know what happens when I get this system together in a few days... hopefully. Thanks all!

Thanks! I have no doubt about getting this put together, I've built a number of computers over the years. My problem is trouble shooting the latest problem that has been detailed over the last 5 pages. Right now, it's just a matter of getting good working parts without having to spend a lot of money. I know the P5Q Pro MB was working in the past, but I saw what looks like tiny scratches on the backside of the MB. I'm hoping that they were always there and won't be a problem when I get around to firing it up. It's hard to tell if they were scratches or some type of manufacturing marks - they were very fine. Now, my big question is: Which PSU do I use? The new EVGA 750 that is running my system now. The Antec 650 unit that was suspect. The 500 Watt unit that was originally in the Cooler Master case and MAY have been hit by lightning - Though my tests show it working fine...

Just to keep you all entertained while waiting for me to complete my hardware project, I present a Crash Dump Report: If you can't read it on the page, save it to your computer, (it's a .jpg) and it should be readable there. - UPDATE - Yup, pretty much unreadable here. Right click, Save Picture, Open in your photo viewer. Should be perfectly readable there.

If your using the new 750 on a working PC; I'd start the build with the Antec 650. When the build is done switching the PSU is easy. If your ready to go off line and have access to another PC; just download your MB drivers and put all your software on a USB - then build with the new 750 (edit typo)

I already have the MB drivers for the P5Q Pro downloaded to my hard drive. I needed to get the manual, so I figured I might as well download EVERYTHING while I was there. I've got all the BIOS updates as well as all the utility files. If it was there, I grabbed it. I figured I might not be able to get online when I first fire up the "new" system, so I'd better have it available here.

Not yet - Tomorrow. Sadly, no Uber Hopefully they will come to Vancouver soon. I'll get one of the wheelchair taxis - they said they will have enough room for the dishwasher. Good thing it's close by - should only be $12 - $15.

Shouldn't be a problem. It has wheels and there are no stairs either there or here. Biggest hurdle will be going over the door sills. Just phoned the taxi company - they are good to go. Just need to give them 30 minutes warning. And the dishwasher is 25" wide - door is 36"

On average, about a month. Depends on the individual dealer. I just got a package of reflectors that go on the spokes of my mountain bike today. The PSU tester only took about 2 weeks - really fast for stuff from China. I ordered an action camera - similar to a GoPro back in April. I paid an extra $14 for shipping and it got to Vancouver in about 40 hours, via Cincinnati. Really cool little camera. Shoots 1080p @ 60 FPS - looks great on the 60" Plasma, and only a quarter the price of a GoPro.

I can't imagine that anyone here cares, but I did get my dishwasher home on Thursday. Dishwasher cost $50 Can$ and $12.10 for the taxi to get it home. It works great, but it does have a small leak that I'll have to track down - about 1 cup of water for an extended wash. As long as it doesn't get any worse, I can live with it, but I will flip it over to see if it is just a hose that is loose, or a seal that has dried out. On a side note - does anyone know where I can download a .pdf copy of the owners manual (or even a service manual) for a Moffat Quiet 2 dishwasher? I spent an hour with Google without result. Only one I could find was $20. As for the computer - I may wait for the Retention Pins to show up from China before completing work on it. I'm thinking of using the Intel cooler on the P5Q Pro system until such time I know I've got a functioning system. Once confirmed, then I'll install the fancy aftermarket cooler. I've also found a few more sources for the Retention Pins (all from China, on various AliExpress dealers). It's really quite interesting - some things you can get dirt cheap and you wonder how they can make a profit - other items are so expensive that it is cheaper to buy locally here in Canada or the US.

WOOT dishwasher Be careful, water can cause all kinds of damage over time Need the Model number & serial numberhttp://www.moffatappliances.ca/faq/faq4.jsp#9 I want to find the model and serial number for my dishwasher.- Open the door fully.
- The model number plate is either on the left or right front lip of the tub or on the right hand side of the door.
- For dishwasher sink combination models only: The model number is on the control cover just below the motor.
- To gain access to the motor compartment, remove the control knob by pulling it forward.
- Pull the front panel out at the bottom about 1/2" and pull down to release the upper panel clips.
- Then, ease the panel forward away from the dishwasher, being careful not to bend the control shaft.

I get a warning from my AVG anti-virus software about the manuals.club page - also, it looks like they charge $$$ for manuals. As far as the leak goes - not a big problem at this point, though that could change in time. Not really worried about damage to the floor - tile over concrete floor! I just mop it up after it's finished. The dishwasher repair page is quite interesting - thanks for that one!

Cool GTX Happy to help Think this is GE Canada = Moffat Hope you bought lots of those plastic stand locks for the heatsink - start a eBay or Amazon business
Yes, GE Canada. GE seems to sell a ton of dishwashers up here - Craigslist is full of them. I ordered 3 sets of the Retention Pins for the heatsink/cooler - only $.94 per set, (shipping from China included!) - I've seen them advertised online in the US for $5 + $15 shipping! A while back I ordered a pair of earbuds for my cell phone - just under $3! While I can't compare them to a "high quality" brand name, they sound fine to me. Been thinking about ordering various items from China for resale...

UPDATE - September 16, 2016 Look what arrived from China today: I got 3 packages of 4 Retention Pins for $2.79 Can$ including shipping! Now I`ll have to dig the Cooler Master Case with the Asus P5Q Pro MB out of the closet so I can mount the CPU cooler. Not exactly sure what I`m going to do for a hard drive - I`ve got about a dozen or so HD`s kicking around, but they are all full of movies and TV shows... I`m reluctant to use the system drive out of this computer, as I`d like to start this with a fresh System 7 install to make sure I`m not bringing over any HD corruption. If I can prove the hardware is all good, then I might use this 500 GB Seagate HD and just wipe it and start fresh. Somewhere I should have a couple of 80 GB PATA drives, one of those should be good for proving the hardware good or bad. As for this computer (Asus P5K Premium), it is still doing its best Crash & Burn impression. Even just sitting idle, it will reboot with a 124 error. I`m also getting the occasional c4 error.

Update - September 17, 2016 Busy rounding up the bits and pieces to put the computer together. Took the OEM CPU Cooler apart and cleaned the dust out of the fins and fan blades. Cleaned the old paste off the cooler using Costco Eyeglass Cleaner and coffee filters - worked great! It's now drying off pending re-assembly and mounting to the CPU and MB. It's amazing how sticky the dust on the fan blades is. I used a toothbrush to get the worst of it, and then sprayed with the Eyeglass Cleaner and used a coffee filter to wipe it down. Here's a tip: Instead of buying those expensive Canned Air bottles to blast the dust out of your computer, invest in a small air compressor. I bought mine on sale a couple of years ago and it works great for this purpose. Just be sure to drain the tank regularly so it doesn't get water in it! I can't remember exactly what I paid for it, but probably about the same as I would pay for 5 or 6 cans of compressed air at the electronics shop. Just wait for them to go on sale. I got mine at a place called Canadian Tire which is a Big Box auto parts and general merchandise retailer. I'm sure you have something similar south of the border. Plus, I use it for the tires on my bike. So, win win.

You should add an air dryer / filter to the output of the compressor to keep fine moisture drops out of the air stream. Or make sure you give your electronics plenty of time to dry before turning the power On Canned air = dry air A compressor with the correct filtering works well also Harbor Freight usually has good deals that are great deals if you use their coupons http://www.harborfreight.com/ Compressors from $59.99 USD before coupon, use a 20% off coupon & it is cheap Inline Desiccant Dryer/Filter http://www.harborfreight.com/inline-desiccant-dryerfilter-68215.html
