Tholidux How do you guys have so many options in Precision X1? This is all thats on mine:
You're running PX1 version 1.1.7, and the new version 1.1.8 has the rebar flash/check.

Detox1 Hi. Please don't tell me I have to reinstall windows for this to work. I did a reinstall earlier this month.
I'd reinstall and get away from the BIOS style installation and move to UEFI. This is a BIOS setting. Here are some reasons and explanations
Thanks for the link & quick response. I'll have to think if it's worth the hassle, just for this one feature.
You're welcome. That and if you ever want a large hard drive or SSD you'll need to go UEFI.

I just tried flashing my wife's 3060ti XC. It appeared to flash successfully and the command line asked me to reboot. It now will not boot, and the motherboard displays a red light on the GPU boot code.
I previously had successfully flashed my Asus 3080 to ReBAR. I tried the EVGA card on my system as it definitely boots with ReBAR. It also gave the GPU light. I tried putting the 3060ti as my secondary card, in hopes I could boot on my 3080 and reflash it, but the system still refused to boot with a red light. Bios is in UEFI mode, etc.

Just did it myself, from an admin command prompt: mbr2gpt /validate /allowFullOS if it says everything is good mbr2gpt /convert /allowFullOS When I rebooted after updating my bios to stop using CSM and turn on resizable bar, I did need to run: reagentc /enable whole process took about two minutes.

Looks like everything is working with the BAR, but GPU fans are all messed up again with the new PrecisionX1 version (as always). On auto settings fans won't go below 37% and on manual minimum is 33% for fans 1 & 2.

I had a issue Norton Antivirus was blocking the firmware update. had one when I first installed EVGA Precision X1 verision 1.1.8.0 then rebooted then under Precision X1 it had Graphics Vbios update next to it in yellow hit update and it came up failed after looking @ lower right noticed Norton blocked it turned it off and all good now. Also Asus has a updated mother board list with bios # pdf file to see if your mother board will work with Resizable Bar.

ReBar works, but after installing Precision X1 and updating the VBIOS I also have the problem with the new minimum fan speed, which completely ruins it. Before that I had only the Afterburner installed and where running at 0 fan speed in normal (office) mode. Can you fix this please? 3080 FTW3 Ultra

I open newest precision and it say fw update needed. Cannot get past that, it tries but fails every time. Newest gpu driver, rebar size enabled in bios, 4k encoding enabled, csm disabled. Flashed the oc bios for my KP a couple pages back and no change except now the fans are full blast on the gpu and no way to slow it down on this bios. And the lcd screen on the KP now says FW update.

Hi everyone, My setup: Asus Strix B550-F with 1804 bios, AMD Ryzen 5 5600X with 32 GB Ram and RTX 3060 Ti FTW3 Ultra. I downloaded the latest version of Precision and had a notice to update the card. Updated. I opened Precision and in the ReSize Bar tab, there was a notification to update the vbios. I clicked and at the prompt I pressed Y to continue. It was and another screen appeared to press Y. I pressed and then there was an error that did not update. My PC has restarted and the card connects the leds and fans, but there is no video signal. I connected the card to another PC and it also does not provide video. I took my ex GTX 1070 FTW and put it on my PC, and it gave video. Did I lose the VGA? :( :( :( :(

Resizable bar does enable for me. But actual performance is lower 180 points lower in Time spy and even COD Cold War shows performance loss. My 3080 FTW3 Ultra Can't even hold vsync at 144 fps now. Also PX1 shows 2 fans at 33% and one at 0. reflashing to prior bios does not fix the performance.

If you have no display out and are completely stuck you can try to boot from the integrated graphics or another card while the borked card is installed too. Then flash the BIOS. If it's a dual BIOS card you can switch to the bad BIOS while booted into windows then flash

memnon8711 I wonder if this is an issue with Asus motherboards and the fact they have Resizable BAR set as an Auto option to enable it. Maybe Precision X1 can't pick up Auto and the fact Resizable BAR is turned on for the motherboard. I have same issue with a Prime x470 with a Ryzen 3600 installed. NVidia Control Panel and GPU-Z show Resizable BAR is enabled though.
I don't think so. I'm on Intel but Z490 and it worked flawlessly.

EVGA_JacobF Try a complete power off (flip off PSU switch) and boot up on OC side.
Hi, I just followed those steps, and still no video on the OC bios side. Connected via HDMI if that matters (only have 1 monitor connected).

I have experienced the same issue. I have since found a few workarounds and am no longer experiencing this issue, however, I would like to know if there is any surefire fix since the problem appears to have gone away on its own and I don't know if/when it might come back.

I'll try this tomorrow! My second PC have a integrated graphics. For me to flash using another card, my card that is not showing any sign of life needs to have all the power connectors plugged in? How will I do the flash without it being "identified" by Windows?

I would suggest people run some benchmarks. This is definitely not a performance boost on my end. After the update I took a sizable loss in performance. And flashing back to prior bios does not help. I believe it updated the firmware and borked our performance.
