compguru910 PX1 isn't working for me, and I'm trying to flash the XC3 bios onto a FTW3 card cause of the power issues on the FTW3. The poster that I quoted said he did it with the exe, but the exe is telling me there isn't any display adapters installed that work with the exe, so I'm guessing its doing a check. Wish I could just get the vbios file.
Yeah the latest version of Precision just repeatedly tells me to restart for a firmware update. I already had an xc3 vbios flashed on my ftw3 so the exe for the reBAR xc3 vbios worked just fine. The reBAR enabled xc3 bios works great so far. I was worried I would have to go back to a ftw3 vbios to have reBAR and be power limited.

Sorry I'm not sure why yours isn't working. Looks like you went through the proper steps. I assume you already updated your nvidia driver? I did NOT use Precision X1.

Good to hear! Yeah I think EVGA tried to make enabling reBAR more streamlined for the average user by making a checklist on Precision X1, but I found it to be quite unreliable at times..

EVGA_JacobF Can you try this version, does Precision show Rebar as enabled now? https://www.evga.com/EVGA/GeneralDownloading.aspx?file=EVGA_Precision_X1_1.1.8.1.zip
Hey Jacob, Is there any solution to the problem for black screen with no signal after reboot? My current VBIOS is 94.02.26.48.16 (on RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra). I am using the latest NVIDIA driver ( 465.89). My motherboard is an Asrock Z390 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ac with their latest BIOS 4.40G (BETA BIOS which adds "Clever Access Memory"). I have disabled CSM and Ultra-fast boot, enabled above 4G decoding and enabled C.A.M.I also enabled PCI-E Gen3 only. I tried on both AUTO and PCI-E Gen3. I have tried to update the VBIOS using PX1 and also using the standalone .exe vbios updates which you've posted on your previous posts. I have tried to update both Normal and OC bios and all cases end up with a black screen and no signal. Can you suggest anything or do I have to re-install my whole windows and try again? I can't think of anything that I am missing and I am assuming that it might be that the BIOS of my MB is buggy and not compatible with the VBIOS. I am not sure what to do. I guess I will have to just not use resizable bar until those compatibility issues are resolved with BIOS/VBIOS updates. Besides, Asrock's BIOS is a bit old, from 24th Feb.

pcgamerv2 PSA: Make sure that Re-BAR is enabled in your motherboard BIOS after you have updated it to the newest version. I can speak for Gigabyte boards
- Install latest motherboard BIOS that supports BAR (F33G BIOS on x570)
- Advanced Mode in BIOS settings
- Settings Tab
- IO Menu
- Enable "Above 4G Decoding"
- Set "Re-Size BAR Support" to Auto
PS. Don't forget your X.M.P. either ;)
I've done this and re-bar on precision x is still disabled. I'm on a gigabyte aorus elite BIOS F20d, latest version. Not sure what else I'm missing.

This worked, thanks Jacob. For others reading, I have Precision X 1.1.8.0, 3080 FTW3 Ultra, Gigabyte Aorus Elite with latest BIOS 20d, disabled CSM, (already set for me), enabled above 4g assignment, (already set for me) and changed resizable BAR support from disabled to Auto (after updating to latest BIOS, re-BAR became an available option). Jacob provided an updated zip that was not available in the Precision X web page and now shows enabled on precision x.

Unfortunately for this one you likely will need to contact your MB manufacturer on it to see if they have an updated MB BIOS.

It just gets weirder. Both gpuz and NCP tell me that Resizable bar is enabled but the screen on my Kingpin is still stuck on firmware update. Is there any way to just get a way to get the firmware issue taken care of? I tried the latest precision and still no luck with FW update.

Well, cool great. I updated my motherboard bios to the latest, disabled CSM, then updated GPU bios with Precision X1. Now my PC won't boot at all with the vbios switch set to OC. First time in 20 years of PC building that I have had an issue with a vbios update.

I don't have a bios issue per se, it is a FW issue. It was my understanding that the bios and FW were different. If the bios has the a FW included then I am on the OC bios. The screen on my Kingpin says FW update, and I have no control of the fans.

Clovis559 Anyone with a Kingpin and XOC bios brave enough to try this yet? O.o
Flashed the RBAR vBios and the 1000w PL seems to be active still but GPU-Z is showing a PL of 450w
Follow up to this. 1000w PL is certainly NOT active and card won't draw more than 450w. If you have a KP with XOC stick with your current vBios. Flashing back.
When I checked this morning the updater for XOC BIOS is the same as the one for Normal BIOS, 3998V940242C017, so it will overwrite the XOC BIOS. The one for LN2 BIOS is 3998L940242C00C, haven't updated the OC one so I don't know the name.
ANYONE KNOW IF THIS HAS BEEN FIXED YET ? OR WHERE TO GET THE 1000 WATT KINGPIN BAR ENABLES BIOS THAT DOESNT LIMIT TO 450 WATTS ?

I doubt EVGA will update it for the masses since it was never intended to be in the wild. We'll have to hope an updated version gets leaked. I'm going to try to do some testing to see if there's any real benefit first though. Seems like people's results are all over the place.

I am not sure if it's the bios or something, but my power readings seems a lot more stable now on a XOC 450w bios with 3080 FTW3 Ultra, I am getting 420w quite constantly and more or less over 400+. I've tested in some tests the GPUZ is not showing PWR as limit anymore around 390-400W like it did before. Scores have improved slightly, in game fps also. Only issue is the fans bugged.

SubiXT I just installed the latest version of EVGA Precision X1 1.1.8. it asked me to update the bios in order to have Resizable BAR enable. now one of the fans is not being detected. the fan is spinning but the sensor is not registering anything. also the bios pushed is version 94.02.42.80.31
Can you try load defaults in PX1, then reboot PC.
