For me, the latest version that still works or has all the check marks in the resizable bar is 1.1.8.0, nothing newer works or has all the check marks. I tried all the versions since 1.1.8.0 and they all show the yellow warning symbol and say the resizable bar is disabled. I'm running the msi x570 tomahawk wifi bluetooth MB with the GTX 3080 FTW 3 Ultimate.

If it works in 1.1.8.0 then it probably still cant locate the nvml.dll on newer versions of PX1. Copy nvml.dll located in C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI to your PX1 install location. C:\Program Files\EVGA\Precision X1. Should work after that. And in NVIDIA control panel in System info it should still show enabled even without copying the .dll file. GPU-Z also can tell you if re-bar is enabled.

I just enabled my bar on EVGA precision.
I have a 3090 ftw3 hybrid card an i wonder how do I know it is doing its job?

The precision software has a tab to show you that it's working.
 
If you want to know if it's providing performance improvement then disable it, run a graphics benchmark then enable it and run the benchmark again.
 

But the 3070 only has 8gb. Will it actually do anything?

Picked up an EVGA 3080Ti FTW3 Ultra July 3rd  Set it all up, played some games the past couple of days.  Decided to see if I can get Resize BAR working.  Downloaded the latest 1.2.2.0 Precision X1, upon running it for the first time it said it needed to update the firmware and to press start.  Clicked start, the fans kicked up to what seemed to be 100% speed capability, red lights by the PSU VGA plugs lit up, the RGB turned off, and it started to update.  Is that normal?  Didn't even check what firmware I had before

Normal imo....it's changing the firmware/bios on the video card and the card loses its mind (per se) while it's happening.
 
as long as the card comes back up after a reboot you should be fine.
 
Have you updated your Motherboard BIOS too?
 

Same thing here. I had to power cycle as my PC froze in this state (fans at 100% with the red lights on). After the restart I was able to update the firmware and it appears to be working now. Thought I’d be RMA a new card for a second.

So while I'm waiting to afford my new 3080 build, I was able to enable resizable bar for my current set up. (windows 11, asus z390-prime a, i9-9900k, rtx 3070 ti ftw3, corsair 850w gold, nvme ssd)
 
I got resize bar to work with a beta bios from Asus. My set up was pretty good for a week but then randomly would be having post issues. Comp display would either not turn on, or comp would try to post and reboot right away a few times. if I did a hard reset or saved settings in bios and restart I could load windows fine.
 
I know everything was working fine before the beta bios, so the first thing I tried was making sure my memory settings and stuff were fine - I have them on xmp. Still was having issues. I then disabled resize bar, even with the beta bios still on, and wow I boot no problem so far and I tested rebooting about 5 times so we'll see. So yeah, I'm not gonna enable this for this current motherboard, and if I keep having issues I'm gonna flash mobo bios back to the last stable build.

No BIOS availability yet for any -KL series cards. You're SOL if you want XOC bios or to convert to hybrid, but they're still happy to sell you the hybrid kit for the -KL cards!

My 3070 ti ftw3 is a KL and I had rebar enabled in Precision... buuutttt it was glitchy and I flashed my bios to the last stable version tonight.

I am wondering what workloads/apps benefit from the resizeable bar the most. Anyone have a guess?
 
Also, are there some workloads that would benefit from it being disabled?
