Since it seems no one posted it yet, our fears have come true, BIG OOF:

EVGA HOLIDAY NOTICE: EVGA has limited operating hours in observance of the upcoming Christmas and New Year Holidays.

Office: The EVGA offices will be closed from 6:00 PM on 12/24/20 to 9:00 AM on 1/4/21.
Customer Service: EVGA Customer Service will be closed from 4:00 PM on 12/24/20 and reopen at 9:00 AM on 12/28/20. They will also close from 4:00 PM on 12/31/20 and reopen at 9:00 AM on 1/4/21.
RMA Service: RMA Services will be closed on 12/25/20 and reopen on 1/5/21
EVGA Online Store: Orders placed after 12/23/20 at 2:00 PM will not ship until 1/5/21.
All times are Pacific Standard Time

So after 12/23, no cards will be shipped until 1/5/21.  I feel bad for ya'll that are waiting & close to the bubble, that's a long delay, but to be fair, eVGA folks deserve a nice little holiday with all this going on too.

Hopefully we'll get some big drops the next 6 business days before that cut-off!

Was planning on trying to get in line early for the 3080 FTW Hybrid, but it just so happens that the card is 1mm too long for my case with my AIO in front...

Maybe that means it's time to upgrade my case???

If your case does not fit that which you desire to be your GPU, is it really YOUR case anymore?

Ahoy matey! Today be the day I snag a 3080! (I say this every day when I wake up)
Weeks and weeks of frustrations. By luck I got in on the 3080 XC3 Hybrid Queue on 12/10 at 9:11:45
I know chances are slim that I get one before Christmas, but I'm watching my email like a hawk! Is it safe to say that the email will come during continental USA business hours?  I'd hate to get it right as I go to sleep and wake up after the 8 hours has expired...

A big THANK YOU to EVGA for caring about customers enough to form a queue!

Emails are only sent between 9AM & 5PM Pacific time (usually sent around 10AM-1PM Pacific Time) on business days, so it's unlikely you would miss emails - the system itself is turned on/off by a real person, from what I understand - also, if you do miss your window, you can reply to the email containing the purchase link directly & ask eVGA for more time to purchase & they will work with you, they offered to on mine!

Don't forget to use an Associates Code during checkout when your email comes in, saves you 5% for just putting the code in & gives the person who's code you used a 3% eVGA Bucks package.
Good luck!

Part of me almost wishes I'd waited for the Kingpin, but in reality it doesn't actually perform THAT much better on the Hybrid cooler it comes with, it still has power limit issues unless you're willing to run it on the LN2 BIOS (from what I understand, I could be wrong about that) - so the 3090 not really being worth $1600+ is compounded by the Kingpin being $1999+ - even saying that, I'd love to own one, I've owned a Classified Card & motherboard before (what Vince named them before eVGA started naming them after him with the K|ngp|n moniker), even still have the EVBot, but I've never had an actually-branded-Kingpin card.
But alas, the YOLO got me & purchased this lovely 3090 FTW3 Hybrid, which I am enjoying very much so far.

Just did a very extensive run through 3 Hives in Marvel's Avengers, never went above 46C on the core (I have the game capped at 120Hz/60FPS because sadly it has crashing issues at higher frame rates still), highest temp recorded was 54.5C on PWR4, that was while running a 1980MHz "OC" on a 950mV undervolt, 333W max power draw.

I did encounter the hilarious GN moment earlier today during a Precision X1 OC scan, the "to my knowledge, the inside of my GPU did not exceed the temperature of the Sun" iCX error readout of 6500+C on one of the vRAM sensors ^_^ Add to that the fact that the XOC "OC" BIOS doesn't have the capability to set the fans to 0%/0 RPM, if you command your fan curve to do so (which is ridiculous, because the 3080 FTW3 Ultra card I have can do that on both the stock OC & XOC OC BIOSes) - yeah, it's not "perfect", but that's part of it's charm no? lol

It's kind of silly a card that costs this much has these little quirks, makes it very obvious NVidia did not give board partners enough time to really vet their designs before launch.

I agree, At that cost you would expect perfection, but then again perfection does not exist.
Im hoping to get a good que for the Ultra Hybrid today.
As frustrating as it is with these que's, I just need to keep reminding myself that my 1080TI-FTW3 is doing just fine and will have no issues holding me over until my que pops.

Unfortunately given that eVGA are taking a christmas-to-new-years break coming up on the 23rd, it's very unlikely you're going to see your purchase emails before 2021 starts.  At most we've got 3 or so more big drops of cards before we hit the 12-days solid of no queue movement because everything for it will be closed.

Thank you! That makes this whole process much less anxiety-inducing.

I saw where you advise putting the rad for a hybrid card as exhaust out the top.  I'm currently debating that.  I'm using a Corsair 4000X case with the 4000D Airflow front panel.  The case comes with 3 intake fans in the front.  I bought 3 QL120 fans and had planned on putting two on top as intake and one on back as exhaust.  I figure the case was designed to have intakes where there are dust screens.  I have a Noctua U12A air cooler for the CPU, so I'll only be dealing with the 3080 Hybrid radiator.  I'd be interested in your temp probe findings if you did that little experiment. The GPU should run cooler at load if the rad is on top and set as intake, but will it make the CPU run hotter?  I'm not worried about a few degrees C inside the case, but I also don't want a dust problem.

During a gaming session which only saw the GPU hit 46C load (Avengers capped at 120Hz/60FPS for over an hour, card undervolted/overclocked at 950mV 1980MHz), the air coming out of the GPU radiator's exhaust was recorded at 34C - at idle (21-23C on the GPU core) that same readout is showing 24-25C. - To me that's already evidence enough having a GPU radiator as intake would be extremely-not ideal, I'm sure it's only gonna get hotter as the GPU temp goes up more lol

I will post back with a readout from a Cyberpunk session in about an hour or so.  I'll be running the same GPU clock/voltage settings to keep things consistent.

Hoping for a 22 minute Christmas miracle for the 3751. Heck, I'd be a little bit happy with any movement at all.

Yeah, I think we need an intervention here, and they can have that intervention through the back of their f—ing head.

Just 2 days left to register for the 2020 Folding Time Zone Challenge!

Win an EVGA RTX 3060 Ti FTW3 Ultra!

A lot of people (particularly in this thread!) have used my associate code and/or rewards/affiliate code since the 3000 series launch, which I of course greatly appreciate. I figured it would be a good idea to "pay forward" some of this good will, so I used EVGA Bucks to purchase a new RTX 3060 Ti FTW3 Ultra GPU to give away. Woot!

I initially thought to contact Jacob and perhaps have EVGA give it away via the EVGA Friday podcast, but I realized the winner (or "weiner" as they say) might not be a forum member, and there's a good chance they would just sell it as most people watching there are gamers with high end rigs already, whereas I'd rather it went to a forum member and someone who will hopefully use it.

EVGA Forum Moderator The_Scarlet_One brought to my attention the EVGA Folding Team 2020 Time Zone Challenge, and this seems like a great way to give the GPU away - it's for a good cause, will very likely go to an EVGA forum member, hopefully will be used for folding or personal use rather than just sold for cash, and at the same time might encourage a few new folders to join in (like me). Lots of win in other words!

Cheers!

So, played Cyberpunk for about an hour now, max GPU temp recorded was 53C, same settings as before.

Maximum temp recorded by the EC_TEMP2 module on the exhaust fan area of the GPU Radiator was 40C:

Legend basically: EC_Temp1 is a sensor on the exhaust of the GPU itself out the back of the case, EC_Temp2 is the sensor on the exhaust of the GPU radiator.
You an also see my primary M.2 there is at a happy 33C while gaming instead of 40-45C like it was with the air cooled 3080. lol
