Hey everyone first post on these forums. I’ve been in queue for the 3080 FTW3 since 10/03/2020. I was looking at a google doc queue and it seems I’m quite far away from getting one. However I also signed up for the 3080 Ultra XC3 on 10/03/2020. It appears that the google doc list is much shorter for this card and I think is showing mid October already? Does anyone else have a queue for the ultra XC3? Just trying to see where I stand? I don’t want to get overexcited just to be disappointed 🙃 Good luck everyone and I hope tons of people received purchase emails today.

I would not use the SS at all except for distribution of notifications. The 3080 Ultra XC3 I believe is on 9/18 for notification. You may be confusing notifications between the 3080 and 3090 cards.

The 3080 XC3 Ultra is still back on 9/18; you have awhile to wait yet, but likely not beyond January.

For anyone interested buying in Germany Alternate, Caseking & Computeruniverse got a fresh shipment of evga 3060ti, 3070 and 3080 cards. I got a 3070 xc3 ultra gaming for 683€ on Caseking. Alternate and Computeruniverse still have cards in stock.

From what I'm seeing/hearing, it seems like the pump/head on the 30-series Hybrid coolers are particularly noisy when mounted vertically, compared to previous generations... I won't be doing that, so I'm expecting it to be silentish, unless I get unlucky & receive a faulty unit like the one guy here on the forums did (straight up grinding noises coming from his card, recommended he contact them for RMA stat cuz that is not normal pump noise).
 
I will try to contain my "OMG GET IT INSTALLED AND USE IT" when it arrives & take some good pictures etc.

A lot of people (particularly in this thread!) have used my associate code and/or rewards/affiliate code since the 3000 series launch, which I of course greatly appreciate. I figured it would be a good idea to "pay forward" some of this good will, so I used EVGA Bucks to purchase a new RTX 3060 Ti FTW3 Ultra GPU to give away. Woot!

I initially thought to contact Jacob and perhaps have EVGA give it away via the EVGA Friday podcast, but I realized the winner (or "weiner" as they say) might not be a forum member, and there's a good chance they would just sell it as most people watching there are gamers with high end rigs already, whereas I'd rather it went to a forum member and someone who will hopefully use it.

EVGA Forum Moderator The_Scarlet_One brought to my attention the EVGA Folding Team 2020 Time Zone Challenge, and this seems like a great way to give the GPU away - it's for a good cause, will very likely go to an EVGA forum member, hopefully will be used for folding or personal use rather than just sold for cash, and at the same time might encourage a few new folders to join in (like me). Lots of win in other words!

This is awesome, hopefully someone wins it that will put it to good use either gaming, folding or both.

I wish I could have been confident with the chances of getting a hybrid, but with the way my luck has been I bought the air cooled 3090 FTW3 ULTRA GAMING (not through the queue). The 3090 can pump out some heat 🔥, so now I’m trying to figure out whether to mount it horizontally or vertically.

Is there any way to see the queue to know where you are in line?

Thus far this is the best thread to see where you are (approx.). Haven't heard/seen of any movement yet today, but there is still hope yet.

If you have M.2 drives, it's actually better to mount vertically, if you can space it from the side of the case enough, because horizontally mounted, the slot-side of the GPU is going to be venting very hot air on to your M.2 areas.  I have a dedicated 120mm fan blowing air over mine to compensate & my M.2 that's under the GPU still hits 40-45C while gaming, and that's with the stupid-level of airflow my case has.
 
 
Hoping for everyone we get some sizeable drops today & these queues get some serious movement before Christmas time rolls around!

I'm planning to do the same... just hoping my AIO CPU cooler piping can reach the front of my case with tubes at the bottom of my rad, not wanting to have my tubes at thet top of my rad.
