Are they even producing 3881s? I set up a time early on 9/17 and more or less forgot about it since I havent seen anyone get one yet

No.  So far I have it moving about 11 seconds....9:08:45 am.  

Wasn’t on the list but I received a notification at 12:55pm placed order at 2:20pm. Item ordered was 10G-P5-3883-KR.

Well it seems I got my crashing issue sorted, either futzing with the cables fixed it or Afterburner was FUBARing my OC, I reset that, plugged in 1995MHz @ 900mV & everything seems fine again, played for over an hour with zero issues.

Very funny :-P We should hope they DO NOT come out soon, so supply can equalize, people can get their GPUs, etc.  If it does come out that would mean Scalpers have fresh meat, the NVidia supply chain is even further diluted, and this crapfest could continue for half a year or more instead of only a few more months (hopefully).
 
Seems the package isn't out for delivery yet, that's unfortunate.  I'll keep an eye on it & go hunt down the UPS guy if it's showing out for delivery so he doesn't have to drive the extra 7 miles out of his way to get out here.

When the Hybrid's notify was relit we were seeing order notification successes reported same day while other.. especially 3080 variants haven't
caught up with demand. Whether NVIDIA is trying to respond to AMD's launch or not, when an NPI (new product introduction) project is release
the prooduct manager is going to do everything they can to ensure the launch goes smoothly. Their job is to make sure the NPI skus get to the brick and mortar and online retailers in time for various buying events (x-mas, BOGO's, back to school, planogram reset's etc. They mostly care less about the stock of products that have launched already.. it's up the the supply team and channel inventory analyst to be the gatekeeper. NPI programs are expensive ( marketing campaigns, air shipping to meet deadlines, potential QC issues, etc.) So I think once we get an announcemet an small initial batch will show up the same day. Videocardz list the rumored release date as Jan '21 / $999, so realistically I would not be waiting if you want a 3080 ti before Feb/March unless you get lucky. My first notify for the 3080 ftw3 ultra was on 10/6, that was 7 weeks ago, and I am not to see a notify on that until early January. I am on the fence on waiting on the TI. GDDR6x is like $12/gig so $96. The MSRP for the 3897 is $810, so $910 would be reasonable, let's see. Now will games REALLY use the extra 8GB's within the next year? Will the peforemance increase of a few % pts worth it? I do some 3d design in which I can make use of the extra memory for me it will be... but if I only gamed, surfed, ran productive applications, and other general use I would not.

How so?  This has room for fans on top/rear/front.

I meant that specifically about the fact that the front doesn't have any airflow through it's front panel, I don't like that.  The case itself is decent on airflow, but having a closed off front panel, as cool as it looks, is a no bueno for me.

But its the XC3 Hybrid version? Thought the FTW series has a extra set of the better capacitors and higher power limit?

TBH the only reason the FTW3 performs better is because it has an extra power plug & higher power limit.
 
The Hybrid will likely result in better/more stable clocks, compared to an aircooled FTW3 - guessing, but I'd wager that's true, simply because of how the stepping table works for clocks based on temperature - the XC3 Hybrid will run probably 10-15C cooler if not more compared to an air cooled FTW3 Ultra, and will "down bin" it's clocks less as a result. 
 
If you were able to get either one at the same time, I'd say go FTW3 Ultra & hybrid it yourself later if you want to, but waiting months longer to get the FTW3, to me, isn't worth the slight performance difference, especially when you're getting a superior cooling solution on the card by getting the XC3 Hybrid...

For those folks who have received cards with the red clown lips and want a change...nothing definite to report in terms of process or timing, but @EVGA_JacobF did tweet: send an email to redtrim@evga.com (make you you have registered your card at EVGA.com and include your serial number in the email).  I hope that helps those of you that need a change...at this point, I'd take an EVGA 30 series with blue lips....

I prefer the red trim myself. Makes the card stand out to me at least.

 
I hated the red lips when I first saw pictures of them, but I would honestly take either one at this point...I really just want the card and I will worry about aesthetics later.
