Were we expecting a huge leap forward today for 3987? I've been waiting since December 22nd at 0225 (although my time zone has changed drastically since that day) and I just got my availability email a couple hours ago. Thanks @enewt for helping all of us forecast this glorious day!

I expected the 3987 to accelerate as it moved through November and December, but today's move was tremendous. I would expect to slow around new card announcements in the timeline (so in February) as folks click on the new card auto-notify button as well as "all the others", but it should continue at a pretty brisk pace (assuming similar supply volumes...). This process is really stressing me out, mostly because EVGA's website fights me so hard during the checkout process. I've had to dump browser cache and login multiple times to get through the various windows. So frustrating.

That doesn't seem right. Your Brother-in-law is not a freight forwarder. Also, the form looks like a standard response that is not you asking to ship to a family member based in the US (which others have successfully done). Regardless, the last Camel Day of the First Queue Year (yes, it pained me to write that) has all but concluded. One year ago tonight, I was congratulating myself on securing a "ROG TUF" 3080 preorder from Amazon.com and avoiding the rush. It was quietly cancelled by Amazon two days later. [Narrator: fill in your own pithy comment using some well-known British slang and Jeff "I once floated in space" Bezos.] Finally, the product pages for the 3955 and the "-KR" SKUs that have a "-KL" replacement have been removed from EVGA.com. In response to that, by the end of this week, I will remove the 3955 and the affected "-KR" skus from the summary (that should clean it up a bit). (Huge thanks to EVGA forum member Smithship for the heads-up!) As far as I know, the 3080's were released for public purchase on 9/16/2020, so not quite a year yet from release. I literally just got mine yesterday that I que'd for on 9/19/2020. Given the news recently that nVidia is expecting the shortages to run into 2023, I'd say you have some chance at getting a notify in 3-6 months if you're lucky. If not it might be a year from now if you registered around Christmas.
So it's been a year now, still waiting, what's your point ? Happy that you've ordered one, but still a shame for the whole community to wait for such a long time, and see a very few samples drop almost one by one  Seeing big companies who let scalpers buy those drops and sell them in the minute as a "marketplace vendor" shouldn't even be legal, but hey, worldwide, it seems to be perfectly fine, except for gamers
