Way too optimistic yeah sorry. I saw this SKU basically go down the drain slowly but surely for the past 8 months, it will probably come to a complete stop (if not already) pretty soon in favor of the TIs instead since the money will be there for them.
 
I've been stuck at Sept 21st morning forever now, I'm not expecting much from EVGA anymore with their constant new SKUs and abandoning other one.
 
And people keep defending them like they're the second coming of Jesus /rolleyes
 
Their queue system is a PR move, nothing else.

If that’s the way you feel why not stop feeding the “PR Machine” and remove all your notification registrations. And post the removed screenshots here so we know you’re not all talk and nothing else.

If not, stop whining. It’s getting old.

His posts are all like this. All he does is whine. For me, the morning of September 21 couldn't come fast enough in the 3897 queue. It means he will get his card and will go away..... hopefully.

Thanks for your reply TheRealMikeVan. On the product pages om the eu.evga.com-website it is mentioned that the items are shipped from Taiwan. I read that the NA-queue is moving faster than the queue in Europe. That is a pity.

I was wrong about shipping for the EU queue. My apologies! I'm in NA so I haven't looked closely at the EU site and I was misinformed. Sorry again!

So are we just supposed to assume it's going to be 3999 since the page isn't up for the product yet? lol  Wonder what the price will be... I'm still thinking $2200 probably.
 
Good luck to the folks getting in queue for it, I have a feeling it's going to be a ridiculously slow ship rate like the block was in the first week.

My silver lining is I'm in the process of buying my first home.  Been renting in a big metro area for over a decade, which was cool until Covid came and I didn't have a yard to go out in.  Only elevators to get out of my building, which was really scary last year.  So I decided heck with it, let's take all this money I saved, and go get a yard.

Well it looks like the 3897 is indeed a dead SKU now since the past couple of weeks.
 
Understandable anyway since the 3080TI is around the corner: why should EVGA bother with people that have been in line for 8+ months for the regular one when they will be able to make a boatload more money with a card that is barely an upgrade over the regular one at probably twice the price...

 
That SKU has had a longer drought in the past.

I think that is correct.  I have it as: https://www.evga.com/products/autoNotify.aspx?pn=24G-P5-3999-KR. But, please keep in mind, that both Dabadger84 and I are speculating.  Check in the 8 am PT hour...the product page should go live during that hour.

I appreciate the sentiment -- believe me I do -- but this journey (from September through to finalizing my watch...whenever that happens to be)...I need to do it without taking a spot from another bona fide gamer/queue member. This is -- no joke -- a story I intend to tell my grandchildren (and, yes, I will embellish 90% of it...the 10% that won't need exaggeration is our levels of frustration and misery).
