So a month and a half form now we can expect 10 - 12 cards again??
Past data indicates a drop every 3-4 weeks or so. Usually on the 12th or 13th of each Month in addition. If you ignore April data, it was about 2 drops a month, one small, one medium-small. But less than 1 card a day for our self-report queue. You have to figure there are thousands of people per day, most are not part of the forums. The numbers must be horribly skewed. We are simply trying to estimate (and frankly not well, but when there is no official support, what can you do?) The fact that enewt is trying to track the flow of the stream here is pretty impressive as it is. I'm sitting at a sign up of the only person to report on 12/24... I guarantee you I'm not the only person who signed up on 12/24. If I get a notice by July I'll be happy/surprised. (and I'm now 7/8 in queue).
What do you mean by thousands of people per day? Do you mean how many people signed up for the queue or number of people getting purchase emails a day. There is no way EVGA is selling thousands of Kinpin cards per day.

Race to the queue. If only that damn doctor didn't schedule my appointment for 11am eastern tomorrow. I'm trying to decide whether I let my wife take over trying to sign me up (and risking her yelling at me for how much I'm spending.. it's not nearly as obvious when a simple box shows up), or simply being rude and busting out my phone if the appointment goes long.
On a different note, I was halfway through the expanse again and decided to start with the books. It's quieter. It's weird, because they are very similar but also very different. On one hand, I have mad respect for the Amazon writers for making it so tv friendly. On the other, I love that extra insight the authors give you in the book. I recommend both. Hat tip to enewt for getting me to give the amazon show a second chance.

If you do inflict the pain of an F5 battle on her, you better have a damn good date night this week (and a really good line on a refrigerator). I am so glad you are enjoying The Expanse. I cannot wait to run through it again just before the next season drops (I am not getting in a queue for that one)...it is so good. Good luck balancing the doc, the wife and the F5 battle.

If you are aiming for a final gpu cooling solution in the form of a AIO...I would not go HC in the first instance. Can you hold on until the mythical, unannounced 3080 Ti is supposed to launch?

I couldn’t for the love of god get my mom to spend 4 grand on a system. Initially wanted a custom loop, but the 3K cost w/ 3080 was instant no. Even 2 was pushing it.

(Sorta) off topic: do you know if microcenter has decent shipments of 3090 FTW3’s or hybrids? Combine w/ kit and there ya go: hybrid 3987. Would love if the amount of KPe cards per drop increases - maybe I’ll get a KPe card in the next 2 months? Will only be ~700 more than 3897, which I can probs do.

*Mild spoilers, do not read if you plan to read the book. I get it. I'm only 60% through Leviathan Wakes, but it makes a lot more sense seeing how Miller's brain works told by the writers. Also weird to think of Naomi as 2M tall after the show, but it's good. I also like how Holden is kind of a dweeb but righteous in the book. They don't nail the dweeb so well in the show, it just comes off more as posturing. Which is also what happens in the book, but it misses that naive stroke the book portrays. Plus, the book gives his navy background more weight. That's almost non-existent in the show.
