When I got on the queue for my Kingpin I was so excited. I even bought x2 EVGA shirts!! 1 month into it, I just decided to buy a $2800 3090 off Facebook. I decided to mine ETH with it 100% of time to repay its outrageous cost. 1 month into mining "today" I get my first mining payout of $300. This said, $150 profit and I'd say the GPU devalued $150 as it's now used if I resell it. Will see how this strategy goes for next month. Hopefully it pays for the Kingpin plus profit despite the $2800 upfront costs.

Electricity is $1.30ish per day... I factored that in already. The other $150 is how much I deduct when I resell the "now used 3090" due to its no longer brand new. Next month, depending on market, I will further deduct it's going reselling price based on local Facebook marketplace prices. Will continue this until I get the Kingpin. Once I get the Kingpin, will sell off this 3090 that's mining... Even though I started my queue late February, based on current Kingpin output... hopefully I will get my Kingpin around October.

Try Nicehash rather than mining directly (definitely have to be in a pool). Profits are slightly lower but it is more newbie friendly and get paid directly in BTC.

Broke down and went to microcenter last week and snagged an asus 3090, so now I’m at least not checking for EVGA updates everyday like I was lol.

Still crossing my fingers I will wake up one day to an email about these though.

Gotta ask, did you camp out 3 days before? Or just show up a bit early? Here in MD folks form lines the night before in *hopes* of getting something the next day.

No, here in Columbus they release the cards if any around 1 PM everyday. I think if you want a 3080 you definitely need to be in the first 5 people in line and they are overnight/early AM campers.

I showed up at 11:15AM Friday (20th in line) and had a choice of 3060/3070/3090 based on stock that day and based on the discord that is usually true from what I gather.

So since I entered the queue for this card on 03/06/21, I'm guessing I'll be getting my notify around 2023 - 2024?

Does the 3090 queue move much faster than the other queues? I just signed up to all the 3090 queues and it'd be amazing if I could get one within the next 90 days (if you know what I mean ;)

If you signed up just now, I am guessing maybe 180 days at least or even longer depends on the situation.
