Urobulus Well it looks like the 3897 is indeed a dead SKU now since the past couple of weeks. Understandable anyway since the 3080TI is around the corner: why should EVGA bother with people that have been in line for 8+ months for the regular one when they will be able to make a boatload more money with a card that is barely an upgrade over the regular one at probably twice the price...
That SKU has had a longer drought in the past. But maybe I'm too optimistic considering how close I am.
Way too optimistic yeah sorry. I saw this SKU basically go down the drain slowly but surely for the past 8 months, it will probably come to a complete stop (if not already) pretty soon in favor of the TIs instead since the money will be there for them. I've been stuck at Sept 21st morning forever now, I'm not expecting much from EVGA anymore with their constant new SKUs and abandoning other one. And people keep defending them like they're the second coming of Jesus /rolleyes Their queue system is a PR move, nothing else.
Im currently 14 minutes away from the last drop so I’ll be pretty salty if it gets killed before I get it, but such is life. Curious to know your timestamp though?

bkleinke Seems the 3885 sku (XC3 Ultra 3080) went poof, on the notify google sheet it's been months since a confirmed card.
There were actually a number of them that went today and yesterday.

Your statement only makes sense one of two ways. One is if the chip that goes in a 3897 is the same as the chip that goes into a 3080Ti. It's not the same chip; it's two different chips. The other way is if EVGA's ability to create cards is not chip limited and they're choosing to create 3080Ti's instead of 3897's. That's potentially a fair statement but no way to know.
With that logic, they should just be putting all their eggs in the 3090 basket, since those are going to give them the biggest ROI, and people will buy anything they can get at this point (3080, 3080 Ti and 3090 are all using GA102). But, 3090 movement has dropped off in much the same way as 3080s. Supply just isn't there to meet the demand.

They were apparently in stock at CA BB this morning (and a few weeks ago too). Didn't see any brand of cards in my region despite my top-tier F5 game. It looks like 99% of the stock went to 2 or 3 stores out East, just like every time before...

So little goes out to the folks in queue? Most to retail? I know not everyone in queue will be active on the google sheet, but this many months of nothing is insane.

If that’s the way you feel why not stop feeding the “PR Machine” and remove all your notification registrations. And post the removed screenshots here so we know you’re not all talk and nothing else. If not, stop whining. It’s getting old.

There was some activity, supposedly, in the NA queue but the EU queue has been dead for half a year now...at what point will they send just one gpu to EU... Seems we're just gonna have to buy from retailers.

Salty Wednesday! Glad to see some get cards. I think our boy Uro needs a hug. I'd give him one. Nick ------oh nicky---- this poor fellow not quite sure what to say. I will note that not much agitates me but today i felt a little twinge of annoyance reading some nicky's posts. My man you should just relax with everything really. No matter what ails us, it does me good to come here and read my fellow enthusiasts musings for the day. Hope you all have a good evening.

static.quai His biggest problem is he doesn't quite get what it means to be over the top, and his grammar sucks. He's not a native english speaker, and not a native NA person, so cut him some slack.
A non-native speaker should not take it upon themselves to constantly nit-pick posts and make arguments in semantics. I have no problem (obviously) with taking unpopular stances and promoting my own associate code. I do, however, think a non-native speaker should probably not take it upon himself to be the fact/meaning checker for an English-based forum. I would never dream of telling a bunch of Spanish forum members what was technically wrong about what they said, just because I can speak the language. I cut people a ton of slack until they try to constantly tell me what is wrong about what I wrote, when they simply misunderstood.
I get it. But annoying isn't the same as spam.

Help! I've just been notified that a card I'd signed up to be 'Notified' of is available (for 8 hours). However I'm based in Ireland... I'd placed the Notification request on EVGA Europe site. I'm now shocked to see that it seems i can't finalize the order as I'm not in the US? Surely this can't be correct and i haven't wasted months in a queue for nothing ????

My silver lining is I'm in the process of buying my first home. Been renting in a big metro area for over a decade, which was cool until Covid came and I didn't have a yard to go out in. Only elevators to get out of my building, which was really scary last year. So I decided heck with it, let's take all this money I saved, and go get a yard. The funny to me part is I have the realtor warning me about chip shortages, and how hard it is to get a refrigerator. Might be a couple of months. This evga queue and the gpu market in general has toughened me up to the nature of waiting. I'm not saying it's a good thing, but in this climate and probably for at least another six months, this is reality. Cheers to those who got their invite today. Hopefully my KPE invite gets here before I have to buy a w&d and fridge. Because priorities.

johcamp21 big conspiracy theory here - what if nvidia stopped shipping non limited chips awhile ago? would make sense why there are so many 3060s going out - they were always limited. what if the flood gates are going to open when nvidia gives the greenlight after their makreting campaign is over. Can you imagine a miner getting a nerfed chip before official release date? they would be livid if it wasn't announced properly or happened before the "planned" date.
That's an interesting thought. I hadn't considered that. Mostly I was just expressing some frustration in my post. I get that this has all been rehashed a zillion times on this thread, and that it will all be fine, as long as my 3060Ti's arrive before the NEXT holiday season...

static.quaiI get it. But annoying isn't the same as spam. Looks like some people still did not get it. Again bunch "spam" reports on one of my posts. Probably I should contact support and ask them to do official warning to those "angry spammers" about abusing " Flag as Spam" feature according forum rules. Perhaps the prospect of a 7-day ban for a second offense will help caml down those guys. aaroninirelandI've just been notified that a card I'd signed up to be 'Notified' of is available (for 8 hours). Yes I'm definitely in the EU queue. I doubled checked by trying to re-notify on the EU site and it says I'm already on it... It seems like both queue lists just go to EVGA.com though?
