Treecat22 So at this point, like many, I'm pretty frustrated by the wait. I know EVGA isn't at fault and they are offering something no other company is with the queue. I have been EVGA loyal for years and plan on keeping it that way. But I've become just frustrated enough with the stock issues to consider spending the money on the 3090 Kingpin HC in the near future if I can get on the list early enough. This may not be the place to ask but if anyone has advice or can guide me to the proper forum, what would be the necessary setup to watercool that card. I have always done aircooling and if possible would probably still keep my noctua cpu cooler and just cool the 3090. Is that a viable set up? Am I going to get over my head setting up water cooling? What parts would I need? I know a pump, a radiator, tubing, the liquid itself, and fans.
Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated. Also as a long time lurker thanks enewt for all you do I wish you luck with with HC tomorrow!
It’s easy to set up but be prepared to spend way more than you planned for. Whatever fittings you think you need, double it, get 90 degree and 45 degree fittings that rotate (bought a bunch that didn’t rotate and they all ended up pointing the opposite direction I needed after tightening them down), get extra coolant just in case. It’s easy enough to run the tubing, pressure test, and run the pump for a day before powering everything.
A reservoir/pump combo unit is good for streamlining the process You can cut some cost and effort by just running Distilled water with biocide added in it which is like 5 or 10 bucks a bottle, which makes at least 1 gallon depending on brand flexible tubing is easiest to work with, I went with Primochill 3/8 5/8 advanced LRT tubing and its pretty nice stuff, whatever you get make sure to match the tubing with the fittings, there are different sized tubing, with inner diameter and outer diameter being important Edit-you wont use anywhere near 1 gallon of coolant/fluid at all, I used about a quart and that's with some wasted through trial and error figuring out how to fill the thing lol also make sure to add a split somewhere at bottom of loop to add a ball valve to make draining the loop for service easy as pie
here is a good vid from Jay on the whole subject actually XD
Thank you enewt, kandiflippin, and cptt95. I appreciate all of the advice!

I get that. It is understandable and it is what it is. The constant “feed me information, I’m lazy” posts; those I find hard to stomach after the umpteenth time the same question is answered mere posts above the post asking it again.
Sorry. Shouldn’t have this much salt with last night’s dinner 🙄
Lol same. They're like "How long do I have to wait??" and don't provide any information on SKUs or notification dates and literally two posts above is someone explaining why we can't predict it. Especially when their times end up being months out from where the queue currently is. Same with multiple people on the same page asking about how the summary works (which maybe isn't intuitive to everyone, but I don't think it's particularly complicated). xeddex Thanks, nope I was elite prior to EVGA implementing wheel spins so I missed out on that. My assumption was "if you're elite then whatever price you see is the best because you can't apply anything other than if you were recent enough to get a wheel spin" but wanted to confirm.
I'm not an associate so I would wait for one of those to confirm, but I believe you are correct - what you see is what you get. They don't give lower prices on the GPUs but I think some of the other products are cheaper for elite/associate members. adsmamba Im still wainting for the queue

you could always get an EK, Bitspower, or alphacool starter kit...they are reasonably priced and come with everything you need to get going with soft tubing. Also, all the parts are compatible with any standard watercooling components if you want to upgrade your setup one piece at a time

I never thought I'd be waiting this long for a GPU. I keep kicking myself for not signing up for the queue on the 17th when I first saw it, instead I had to wait until the 22nd. Ugh. At least I have a 2070 that I bought before prices went crazy to hold me over for now.

Yeah, Same (~ish), I'm on a high end 1080ti that certainly plays everything fine for now, but I'd love to have updated the graphis card when I swapped MB/CPU...
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

I think it's safe to assume it will be 3999 SKU#. So https://www.evga.com/products/autoNotify.aspx?pn=24G-P5-3999-KR ? I could be wrong though.
Yes I agree, If it follows the same as the 3090 ftw3, it will be 3999.

Naah, just need a good connection and a moments of free time at work. The sku and the most probable link was out there since last night. Nick just added lots of people to effectively carry out a DoS attack hours before the link goes live.

Does this product launch also apply to the EU? I have noticed that most of the products with water cooling are not available at all in our area.
