I just got the notification for the 3989, but I'm only 2 away from the 3999... I really don't want to build 2 custom loops, but knowing my luck if I pass on the 3989 I probably won't get the 3999 for months....
What do you need the 3999 for? It's the same card but $400 more. I would say take the 3989, especially as it's being offered to you right now and not "at some point in the future". I doubt you would see even a marginal performance increase for all that extra money.

Pretty much this. You get a little more room to boost the clock but quite a bit of room on boosting the VRAM. On my 3987 OC'd I got a 14123 in Port Royal. Most OC Kingpin scores are about 14600-14900 but the best OCer's (or maybe the luckiest silicon lottery winners) are getting scores up to 15500. You're not going to game with that OC on though. I've almost convinced myself not to get the Kingpin as I'm getting excellent 4K performance now. Almost

Exactly. Overclocking is a fun little hobby for my as is custom loops. I mean, we are after a 3090 after all so $/performance is out the window anyways. I am still debating on whether to keep the 3090ftw3 when my times comes to order the 3999. I already have the optimus block on it.

basically, for an extra $500, you get a little oled display readout, a little bit higher quality asic, much better power delivery, better cooling, and a guarantee that all of the highest quality capacitors and vrms are being used on the card...it's more of a peace of mind thing for me...if $500 isn't a lot of money for you, it's not that big of a deal to pay more

Today, I got into the notif queues and I received all the notif emails along with an email from EVGA suggesting me to upload my invoice. Is it required for me to have my invoice uploaded in order to buy the GPU? I may have cleared my inbox and might have lost the receipt from BestBuy :/

I was curious if I was going to have issues with my ordering today but thankfully I didn't have any issues at all with either the associate code or the spin code using Chrome. I just made sure to wait after doing any entries or clicking for the web page to catch up before clicking anything else.

The invoice is for the card that you purchased and registered - warranty and the ability to Step Up. It has nothing to do with the notification queue
