LoL... we have seen SKU's take 1-2 months to move 4 seconds.

Just heard about this from a friend who successfully acquired a GPU using this new system. I'm in!

I don't think so, we just hit the post-7:40 period where more and more people were able to consistently sign up after the 7:30 deadzone.
I was hitting refresh and waiting for the page load to timeout ever since the queues were supposed to have opened. I didn't manage to get myself on the notify list until about 8:08 PDT. I was hoping that enough other people were unable to load the page that I wasn't too far behind in the line. But I guess only time will tell at this point how "bursty" those signups were.
Yea, it's a frustrating wait, I'm pretty close to a 3080ti myself. I didn't think I'd get one in the first two weeks but I was crossing my fingers for the last batch. Now it's looking likely that I'll be in on the next one. I don't put faith in the 3rd party self reporting and queue estimations but this was a poll taken on reddit during release: https://www.reddit.com/r/EVGA/comments/nrhhqn/what_is_your_earliest_queue_time_in_pst/ I don't think we can make judgements about the actual amount of cards going out or actual numbers of people, but it looks like right now we're hitting a solid group of people that cared or had enough interest to vote for their registration time. It may be a slog from here out. I know that a lot of early people probably didn't vote because they could have been getting their emails or realizing they were golden and not bothering with trackers, and a lot of people with later times may have been discouraged enough to not bother voting or keeping track right away. But without a doubt things changed after 7:40.

To be young again (This is ofc a figurative to people new to the queue game) I remember being seconds away from 3898 and had to wait 6-7 weeks lol. I have a 7:50 time for 3080 Ti FTW3 but I don't expect to get it for a few months based off my own experience so far waiting in the queue.

The Shuffle is a total joke..I'm boycotting Newegg for good after this is all over spent at least $500k with them over the past 15 years on barebones supermicro servers and xeon cpus alone. They used to be all about providing value to the consumer...now it's all about profits

They are not the same company they used to be. I started using newegg back in 2003 and they were great! Almost everything had free fedex shipping (back when fedex was better than UPS). When they sold to the chinese company in 2016 it went drastically downhill.

Torawin So I've never done a custom WC loop before, just used the closed loop EVGA CPU cooler solution. If I do get chosen for the HydroCopper cards, what exactly do I need to buy? Newegg or Amazon links would be perfect, since it does not look like EVGA makes a kit to complete these themselves.
If you are thinking a loop is a little more than you want to do if you get the XC3 version of either card you can use You of course still have to remove the HydroCopper block and backplate and install the hybrid kit but a lot less than installing a full loop for your first time. If you have elite status you get $20 off the top of the hybrid cooler and if you use at least someone's associate code, you'll get another 10% off its like $80
Would this work? You obviously won’t get as efficient cooling, but is it that easy of a remedy?
I would be very interested to see if this is possible, with perhaps selling the waterblock after it's removed to defer some of the cost. I'm comfortable building a water system if not, but it is a lot cheaper. I've been building my own pcs since the late 80's, and my last build was my first time using (closed loop) WC for the CPU. I've found some kits for around $200 that would work, as they have all the parts. They are intended for open loop CPU use, but if you put the fittings into the GPU instead it should work exactly the same since they have external pump/reservoir instead of pump built into the CPU waterblock like some.

You would also have to flash the BIOS to the hybrid version to get correct functionality of the fan. Slightly risky with the XC3 version and could result in issues if you cannot flash back to stock when doing an RMA. Not an issue with the FTW card as it has a switch.

If you have the FTW3 hybrid then yes. I would either get what I have which is the optimus block or get the ekwb with the active backplate if and when it becomes available. That backside ram is a scorcher

do u have xc3 or Ftw3... for the Ftw3 I have the alphacool one on my 3080 and im very happy with it for performance and price. xc3 the only one available is the ekwb.... reference cooler may fit but there is overhang.

The alphacool I would not get for a 3090. You need better cooling on the rear vram.

yeah i cant speak for 3090.... but for 3080 its awesome. backplate is thick you could easily throw a Ram block on the back with some thermal pads or that mp5works thing.... would be fine. i think those silly sandwich plates are kinda overkill if you ask me... part of the reason the 3090 is just overkill for someone like me who would never use the extra vram.

Just watch your temps and watch for leaks. The early alphacool blocks for your card had some leaking issues if I remember right. Also since it is not a true full cover block I would watch the ram temps.

ive been using since december.... several rebuilds.... not a single leak... no problems at all. DONT LISTEN TO EVERYTHING YOU HEAR.... most is absolute BS. Alphacools blocks are awesome and a GREAT value. i know because i own one! also my card was doing 2265mhz locked at a max temp of 45c.... lol so dont give me, oh I read or oh I heard. stop reading on reddit.... any one can tell me what they read. Oh and it is A FULLLLL COVER BLOCK on the ftw3.... which i am using. RAM TEMPS are great. NOTHING above 58 to 66c with +1300

Arkxangel74! so im thinking of doing a watercooled system does anyone know where to get a block for the 3090 hybrid. i cant find one in the evga store
do u have xc3 or Ftw3... for the Ftw3 I have the alphacool one on my 3080 and im very happy with it for performance and price. xc3 the only one available is the ekwb.... reference cooler may fit but there is overhang.
I was there. They recalled the blocks for quite some time while they redesigned back in december. It was not BS. Don't be an alphafool and assume things. You know what they say about that right? I have blocked you as I do not deal with children other than my own.

lol idk if ur in bed with alphacool.... or ur just reading reddit. no one likes a know it all... so stop talking about a product unless you have actual experience with it. I can read the same posts you read as well as anyone else. Yes i have used ekwbs 3080 xc3 block as well on a build for a customer. it was just a good as alphacools minus the install which was a lot longer... why? i know from experience!

Well, I'm going to hedge my bets and say no drops today other than what hit the F5 pool.
