Sullen I still don't understand how an extender will help with closeness of the ports when they are the same diameter as the compression fittings, what am I missing?
Not sure where you are getting that info from. most extenders are considerably narrower than the outside diameter of compression fittings. My koolance extenders are almost half the diameter of my koolance and monsoon compression fittings, only slightly wider than those barb fittings Nate listed, pretty much a given that all extenders will work unless they are rediculously wide ones which I have never seen. They will have the same G 1/4 thread but the outside diameter is no way near as wide as compression fittings. They will work just fine.
My memory have failed me pretty bad mate. I haven't touch a watercooling build in quite a while and totally forgot about sizes and other stuff about fittings. I took a look at my remaining parts that I have laying around and could see I was wrong, sorry for my impertinence and ignorance.

Can you still use the switch in the first pcie slot?
Looks very tight and with the card covering it from above it doesn't look like you'd be able to remove the card once it's been put in and locked.

But that's my point. I can't get to that switch when the card is in from the top as the backplate covers it. So you need to be able to switch it from the side if that makes sense. But it looks like the block it the same height which means I won't be able to reach the switch.

I can file a little of the delrin around the pci-e clip if you like? Should be able to shave enough off so you can get in there with a small screwdriver ;-) I will need to do that on mine also.
Looking great Nate!

No need for a scaled image, it is just for ideas atm, I will do all the resizing when I have the blocks in hand. Thanks Nate ;-)

Do you hand engrave it, or do you do it an a CNC type? Installed an O-ring, and doing some preliminary design leak testing. There are many holes in the copper, but only a few in the Delrin. I am testing to see how many holes are necessary for the design. If the design is strong enough on its own, I can just omit the holes going down the channel. If there is a slight leak, then I can use those holes. Most of this is done behind the scenes but since this block didn't get a prototype phase, I am doing all the testing with this first batch. I will likely leave all the holes since its the bottom of the block, and I can always retain the option of putting additional screws in it, should someone really put some crazy pressure through the block, then I can beef up the structure with the additional screws. I also don't use hose clamps. I have always used a surgical rubber type hose when I watercool. It was super stretchy and never needed hose clamps. Once I see this block installed and how it works with some CPU blocks, then we can probably expand it to fit more connectors.

That's great, thanks Nate. I don't really need vector line art of the actual blocks, all I need is the measurements and once I have the blocks, I can work out the text/logo positioning in relation to X,0 - Y,0. Images for the moment are just for visual layout of the text/logo for Acesi7 and I to see what would look best. ;-)

Your Vreg block doesn't look much different then that... but I am sure I could be persuaded ;) More pr0n: Sandblasted goodness. edges coated and hanging in the oven to cure: its 1am... calling it quits for the day. I can barely see strait anymore between the cooking paint vapors, and inhalation of the glass beads to clean the blocks. Killer headache! More pics tomorrow as the finishing process continues.

OK, here is my mock up of the engraving, positioned taking into account the PCI-E slot locations to make the engraving most visible. Acesi7, let me know what you think The proportions of this 'E' logo look different to the one on the original Heatsink, I can fix that, also I may outline it just slightly so it looks a bit chunkier. EDIT: How about this? Matched the 'E' to the same angle as the original Heatsink and made it proportional & chunkier ;-)

I'll be using just a standard D cutter with a slight angle, probably be between 1 and 1.5mm deep (0.04 - 0.06 of an inch) but I will look at the block and determine the best depth when I see it. With Epoxy filling around 1-2mm depth is best as the epoxy being smooth and high gloss, it gives better visual depth. Probably need to be much shallower for the smaller text though. Yeah, for tri and quad SLI it will barely be visible but I will only have 2 cards so about the bottom two thirds should be visible.
