From looking at it up close, it can be omni. I will check normal and goofy mounted.

Lol... I am waiting on tmo. Jppso emailed me to say a shipment arrived. After an entire day of attempting to schedule delivery, the guy informed me that the shipment was the one that had already been delivered a week prior and that he was really sorry.
I was a little bit frustrated, but I understand that there are human errors in everything. I wish it would have been the shipment though.

HanshinJP It looks gorgeous!
Glad you like it, even if it is an unfinished working prototype :) The flow is omni-directional, and its the identical CPU plate that is used in the stinger, so the performance should be identical.

I will do a first run of 3. I am ordering the materials. A full copper version "can" be an option, but right now I will order the materials for Delrin tops. The picture was unfinished delrin, so these few that I make will be finished. Shoot me a PM or e-mail if you want in. I will need as much feedback on the block as possible

All of the materials arrived. Just to verify...M4 screws are used on the X99 CPU socket?

Yup, the stock x99 socket backplate has M4 threaded holes.

You know I am always interested, lol. My motherboard arrive Friday. Once I get my ruck back on the road, I will bring the board up there and you can fit them if you would like.

Thats quite the drive, I just have to mail you the new Delrin top that fits it. seta8967 Think he still has my board and cpu, don't you nateman? test it out on there.
I prefer others test it. It won't sound the same coming from me.

You got it. I still have to experiment with the length of the M4 screws required for mounting. As far as replacing the top, Your current screws work, but if you want stainless to match some chrome fittings, then I have to find some. They are 4-40 by 3/8" long if you can find them locally.

id call first. Rare for hardware stores to carry 4-40 sized hardware. Fortunate for me McMaster has PLENTY ;) I am thinking of taking a polishing wheel to the delrin to see what it looks like.

Eh, I am sure if they don't have them in stock, I can find something else to buy.
Not to mention, I can get them online for sure, as well. Shipping is silly fast to me now, compared to the old 2 week process to get anything.
I am curious what the polishing wheels will look like also.

That looks great! It feels like youre getting your own style with that beveled edge. Cant wait to see what x99 with both cpu and mobo blocks on it.
I thought you meant testing fittings not performace apologies.

Thanks. Scarlet said it had a "gothic" look to it with the mix of bevel and squared edges. And yes, i am using your board to test fit it, but you only have the board and the mouse, no cpu. I happen to have someone elses CPU here to test fit the height. A M4-.70 x 12mm is too short. It almost touches the surface of the mounting screw, so I have to get some a bit longer. What screws would you guys prefer, Stainless, or black?

I just ordered some stainless screws for both the mounting, and the block assembly. I am leak testing the above pictured block and there isnt a drop. Also it seems to be very low restriction.

Thank you! So I calculated the thickness of the base (the space between the water and the CPU itself) and its around half a millimeter (0.6mm - 0.025"). I look forward to the results...
