Glad to see cards shipping out and getting benched finally! This new KP rtx card certainly has the most emphasis on daily performance of any KP card to date. We really had a focus not only the XOC this time but also the MAXIMUM SUSTAINABLE normal ambient cooling overclocking out of the box(49-54c) to make it one of the best, if not the best and well rounded performing KP card to be released.  Really hope you guys enjoy this one! We worked hard on it. Really cool thing about this gen KP card is that it can scale on hybrid cooler with voltage now on both mem and core so most of you guys should be able to squeeze a few more delta clocks out of it with a small V bump for ambient benching runs. The samsung memory rips too when you give it some more juice.
I always take care of you guys with proper XOC stuff, this gen is no different ofc ;). Wait for it.

What's up Vince! Interesting to hear about the slightly different approach this time 'round.

Great to see both of the masterminds posting here, big congrats on another successful KPE launch!

Was expecting nothing less of course, you set the precedent years ago. Looking forward to it. Cheers!

Thank you man. Ironically some card owners are not actually extreme benchers ;), so we also stepped up and made a more streetable track car of a card, instead of just a trailer queen if that makes any sense hah. Also when I saw how hot the rtx gpus can get when overclocking an ambient, Air cooled KP card didn't make sense.

This generation took a bit longer than normal because we were spending heavy rd time on developing our Z390 DARK and another upcoming mobo.
In the past, we just focused on VGA's so easier to keep pace than on this one. Developing the final KP card takes a lot of time spent with trial and error on reference cards, going through multiple pcb revisions, etc etc.
When people ask me why the card takes longer to make, I'll say we just try our hardest to spend the time that it takes to get it right internally no matter how many internal revisions it requires or cost involved to give you the BEST version final KP card(hopefully!) ;) once. No need to rush it and then be forced later on to make multiple retail revisions to improve it. Than the early adopters get screwed. That's no good. Also Samsung memory was not readily available at the start of this gen, but I knew it was coming later so we also held off a bit for that as there were some concerns with micron and XOC.

Hey Vince, loving the new card. After benchmarking and tweaking for a few hrs yesterday I came to notice the only thing throttling the card is the reliable voltage, not thermals. Will this be addressed with the future xoc bios update?

Oh boy, I can't wait for the performance boost upgrading from a 1080 Hydrocopper to this thing.
Any word if the hydrocopper for the kingpin will be just an addon or if it's gonna have a seperate SKU aswell?
I'd appreciate any info on that, cheers.

My card is with my parents now but have to wait for them to  ship to me due to being at a military address but ive been wondering
why do some of you guys choose to run the 9900k with with this gpu rather than a x299 chip?

Because X299 offers no substantial additional benefit for someone who is purely doing gaming with essentially no multitasking whatsoever. 9900k and a higher end mobo is just fine for pure gaming.

what up man, thanks for your elaborate reply.
It is definitely evident that you have put a lot of work into it; the build quality, pcb and overall design are outstanding for sure. It outdoes even your main rival (even new plus's). I also appreciate you reassuring us that the XOC crowd won't be neglected.

Your mention of this card being more casual is exactly what crossed my mind when using it, seems more plug and play than usual. I just threw the WBs on these new 2x plus cards (now all s b-die), chiller and XOC. It kills me that the kingpin can't fight back at all at the moment, am excited for when it can and I will be sure to claim highest clock non ln2 (turn on pc and use).

You can def. be proud of this drop and I'm sure you all have your hands full, yet I truly hope a WB and XOC bios are coming soon. 2080tis will be obsolete sooner than later, would be a shame for you to not leave with the crown on.

Here is where a little tact is needed. You seem to be new to the scene. You are going about this in the worst way and a perfect reason why these things arent meant for the masses.

It's gatekeeping like this that prevents this community from growing. Even more ironic is the fact that KINGPIN just mentioned this card is aiming for the more casual consumer.
Me testing things when others don't and sharing my results is far from negative, someone has to do it.
I also know exactly what I am doing and am 100 for all repercussions.

The worst way of going about what? What is it that I even need or am looking to achieve? No XOC, np. just sell my 2 cards for profit and keep it moving.

No info yet but I would assume the same price as the FTW3 block -- $199.99.

3k for a card! Not likely to happen! And I bet he's here on the forum and reads this!

A little too greedy my man. Yeah ya prob gota sell ea card at $2k to cover fees but still.

$500 profit per card might entice someone..

Kingpin himself said in this thread that this iteration is geared more towards plug and play usage. EVGA says it’s a gaming card.

And that’s what I’m gonna do with it - play games.

I don’t care about more cores on X299 and I never will. For pure 4K gaming the 9900k is more than enough. Even now with a Strix my 9900k is hardly even breaking a sweat. I play exclusively in 4K now.

Oh I am the same way.  They really ruin supply and always hope they all get stuck with old stock. I know some people might defend them (possibly doing the same shiestiness themselves lol) but this really ruins the experience for the little guy that saved every penny to afford a product at MSRP only to hit a dead end.

On amazon, I feel anything after 6 months is left to the scalper community.  For example when I'm looking around @ samsung 2TB SSDs, $100 min on top of MSRP from the scalpers and they can range as high as double the MSRP.  Ridiculous...

The kicker here is, those scalpers are second hand warranties so people need to research and understand what they're getting themselves into and Oh the scalper community who take advantage of the return policies among other things will ruin it FOR EVERYONE.  We will end up losing all the goodies and safety nets because of these leeching roaches.

I'd tell them to go pound sand and get paid doing it or go play in traffic.
