So how does the pump sound on the kingpin?

One user already said it was quiet.  Would be nice to hear from more Kingpin customers.

As I'm sitting here listening to the whine of my FTW3 Hybrid next to me, I'm curious as well. If it really is silent like the first user reported, I'll regret not finalizing my Kingpin order when I had it in my cart during launch day.

I missed my one shot, unfortunately. The Microcenter return window for my 2080 ti FTW3 expires this upcoming Wednesday. So unless they magically release more like today, I'm SOL.

But I'm perfectly happy with my FTW3. No problem hitting and maintain clocks of 2080-2100MHz and +1000 memory. It's just that damn hybrid pump whine LOL!

I received both of my kingpins today, just installed one of them for now until i figure out my whole configuration but these are very quiet, have not done any real testing yet but did the curve test and got to +118 on the core clock. Power limit for these is 144%  Have not done anything with the memory oc yet but will be proceeding as the day goes on.

Vince had made a comment in a Facebook post that stock would be coming out every other week.  Now take that with a grain of salt since I don't think Vince has final say on distribution.  But maybe Jacob will drop some hints in this afternoon stream.  They do have 6 hours to kill.

Hopefully something. I had it in cart on launch. I was just being conservative waiting for user reviews. I had some concerns over pump noise and wanted to hear some feedback as I’ve been following the FTW3 thread for a while.

EVBOT way to tweak real-time settings

Firmware for EVBOT is available here, version 69. This version can be updated to EVBOT thru any EVGA KPE card, equipped with EVBOT connector. Similar functionality also available thru elusive EVGA EVBOT controller, for the chosen ones than still have it.

Not having used EVBOT before, does it give you more options and is more reliable than just software OCing?  Is it more geared to LN2 uses?  Or is it helpful for open loop OCing as well?

(Does the Z390 Dark have an EVBOT port too?  Didn't see a mention from a quick search).

:) my return window ended yesterday the 11th. Debated it.. but I dont think I'd have enough time to pull the hard water loop and remove the water block and reinstall the original stock cooler to return it that day!

Even still have my former card 1080ti ftw3 that I could of used in the meantime.

Oh well. :/

Yes, with it you do not need the  Classified tool

The last Motherboard that came with an EVBOT Port was the X79 Dark.

Dudes what is the classified tool. My card comes Monday, I've got the file downloaded and unzipped but what do I do with it? Will it just work when I open the file after I have the kingpin Installed? Sorry for bringing down the collective knowledge level but the only way to learn is to ask. So what am I missing here yall? Enlighten me

Yes that file once downloaded and extracted will only work once your kingpin card is installed. Its only a tool for adjusting voltages for your card.

Help me to understand why Evga can release tools that allow voltage changes past 1.093v for this card and no other vendor out there can release one tool of equivalence for any of their own models - including Evga?

Does Nvidia enforce voltage limits on these RTX cards or not? If this is the only eVGA card in existence and in fact - out of any RTX card from any vendor - that can be pushed past 1.093 volts without any sort of hardware modification needed to be applied by the consumer then why arnn't other vendors doing this and more importantly - why wouldn't Evga empower there other loyal customers that purchased the FTW3 Ultra, etc.?

If you take off the cooler what or whose name is etched on the GPU? It could say The Lord God Almighty Jesus Christ Pimp of the Microphone all over your card but they still would be under all the same rules and licensing guidelines as dictated by nVidia. So, once again, I'm asking because I'm genuinely interested - how is Evga able to do this exclusively and what could it possibly be that stops them from bringing some of these options to the rest of their customer base?

On the OLED Panel.
Not the Current Display.

and Under PX1, Click the Arrow to change screens. While my OLED shows 0 XP1 Shows 1200 RPM

Thanks! After I saw the pics I realized I had seen that it didnt function and turned that screen off. The clocks dont update when you use afterburner either, and PX1 isnt working at the moment.

Two explanations I can think of:
a) Ultra Special permit by Nvidia, achieved by unknown measures.
b) For customer warranty cases, EVGA agreed to incur the cost of a dying KPE GPU with no reimbursement from Nvidia.

Also it's a 3rd party tool, these cards dont come shipped out with the voltage limit unlocked.

EVGA used to have voltage unlocked GPUs for years.  Nvidia started putting a stop to that by making EVGA stop sales on the EVBots (I have one luckily.) and than forcing soft voltage lock downs (BIOS) and what we have now, hard voltage locks meaning you can't get around it without physically modifying the GPU, if I still understand it all correctly.  Luckily with Kingpin, you're basically guaranteed the best silicon chips of the bunch, higher clocks with the less need of voltage and better temps so that's why Kingpins have such great OC overhead than everyone else.

Use this Associate Code at your checkouts or follow these instructions for Up to 10% OFF on all your EVGA purchases:

The classified tool is not going to be of much help right now until the waterblocks come out, i have been using it today and my benchmarks are just as good without the classified tool as they are using it, the room to raise the voltage is so minimal with it because of heat its not worth the effort until the hydro copper block comes out. I can get mine to +130 core clock and +1250 memory clock without even using the classified tool. Best i can get with the classified tool is +140 core clock and +1300 memory clock.

Basically it does have to be approved by Nvidia. They locked down the BIOS editing with signatures so they have to be approved from them directly.

As to how, IDK. It would be just speculation to guess.

Nope.  No motions of EU stock for the card or the block yet.  Cast is still going for another 4 hours, so still may come up.

Both plausible - and of course - equally troubling. ;-)

So a modified BIOS would in fact suggest statement "a" from Edome would be taking place?

Hope they say something, I managed to get enough money for that and the upcoming WB so I am waiting for it in EU.
