Yeah the A/C condenser is 220v but I would not tap into that circuit for a 220v line to a computer.
Every time the compressor starts and stops I bet there is a good power dip and spike.
Also the noise on the line from the motors running and the crankcase heater if there is one.
Also the breaker is sized for the wire size and load of the condenser unit.
That will add more load it was not designed to handle
 
Just add a 2 pole breaker to your main panel, or remove a device, A/C, dryer, and put in a bigger breaker and add a subpanel
Then run the A/c or dryer and new computer circuit off the subpanel.
Not a bad Idea to use orange isolated ground sockets to help with line noise, and "to ground" voltage leaks

I did HVAC service, electrical/pnumatic controls, motor/pump/generator and control repair and installation for many years.
 
We have 3 phase 220 and 480v 60hz here, and that is mostly in commercial buildings.
Single phase 220v 60hz in most houses.

We do have some building with 200v, and I have seen quite a few buildings have 277v lighting circuits.
I did a lot of outdoor lighting too. I hated it, did not like the bucket truck thing so much.
But for a person who does not likes heights too much, I spent a lot of time on the roof and climbing ladders.
 

If the wire is #10 and it is a 30amp service to the condenser, you do not want to tap in a wire size #12- 20A, or #14- 15A to that circuit.
The breaker is sized to protect the wire, a #12 or 14 can overheat and catch fire on a 30A breaker. Breakers are not to protect the load.
 
Best to add a breaker if you can, or remove a double poll breaker and add a sub-panel.
Unless you have an older house where they ran a 220v circuit near a window, where they had a big window A/C unit.

Found a quick fix with a 20 foot 8 Gage Cord to use off my Washer Circuit.
Looks like this coming year I will need to have a Pro install a new Circuit Panel and add some new 20 Amp Sockets.

Washer circuit's are usually 20 amp but can handle additional lighting and such. What are you going to do with the 8 wire?

Run my T630 from the second socket in the wall.
It is hard to find 10 Gage or 8 Gage extend cords.

Okay got it. A 12 gauge would probably be okay. When I was running my 4P it never sucked a lot of amps at 500-600 watts. Maybe spiked a bit at start up. If you have a kill-a-watt meter, check and see what happens when the washer motor kicks in.

It is more for the 1100 watt redundant power supplies on a new UPS I want to test out between two different circuit breakers.
I have two T630 Servers now and want them to hold at lest 30 minutes without main power.

Winter is almost here! Thankfully, then I can turn on my computers again.  Everything is prety much been off throughout the summer, my A/C can't keep up with florida heat =(.  Can't wait for consistent cool weather.

Winter has definitely arrived in central Washington - I got to shut one evap down entirely, the other is only running part of the day, and the A/C in the front room spends a lot of time off - my power bill went DOWN last month for the first time in a very long time.
 

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Had a PM ready to send, press send, lost it all, Had to delete all internet history, cookies, etc etc.. again for the 2nd time this week.
