Just ordered an EVGA GTX1070Ti Hybrid late Saturday night from Newegg, it came today.
That was fast, now will have to see how well it folds and crunches.

That sounds nice - I now have mostly hybrids and I really like how much cooler they run. I have one box with a GTX 980ti Classified and a 980 SC
I have a box fan blowing right on them. Tell me what you would compare the 1070ti performance to as my cards are 1080 and 1070 hybrids  - no ti

I'm running FAH on a 1070ti basic P4-5671-KR. Linux Mint is the OS, stock speeds only for my test. All my points from yesterday and today are from that card only. (click my folding sig). I know folding works a little better on Linux but this is impressive.
The1070ti is very much equal to my 1080FE across multiple projects.

mine's been getting validated slowly. I just past the 700k mark in points. Last time I was only slightly over 500k and that was at the end of the sprint.

For Crunching or Folding what is best to run?
SLI Loop in Serial or in Parallel Two Graphics Cards Only. (single Loop GPUs Only)
Looking for Team Members thoughts and not from other websites and so on as I have read them all.
Thanks

my parallel loop (980ti's x2) vs My serial loop (1080ti x2)  has a smaller temperature difference between the cards (1 to 2 degrees parallel, vs 2-4 serial).  But at most the second card is only 5 degrees higher from just casual observations.  The temperature should always even out throughout the loop as heat will disperse evenly in water (thermodynamics if you're curious about the physics behind why) with an average of 1-2 degrees difference at any 2 points.

That being said, the only time i've had my cards go above 50C (48 and 53 for top and bottom cards respectively) is when i'm running collatz it seems.  Folding temps haven't gone above 45 for either loops for me.  My gaming systems have EVGA x99's so fans are static at 40-50%.  1080ti rig is my main one and has 560, 480, 360. 980ti is just my old system and has a 360, 360 rad.

These are all just personal observations and these are actually one of my first 3 custom WC loops, the 980ti was redone recently and was originally serial.

Yup on the Parallel ^_^.

It'll give your cards a lower delta between each other vs serial which hopefully translates to near equal performance.

Make sure to quit BOINC manager, unpack app into project folder, and then start BOINC back up.
I'm running Win x64 AVX app on my 3930k and it's pumping out tasks now.

So I noticed people running BOINC version 7.8.X, 7.6.X and so on.
I am running 7.2.X from WCG still, looking through the change logs I did not notice anything
that looked like it should be upgraded if I am not seeing a problem.

Am I wrong is there a performance reason or something I am missing that would be smart of me to
upgrade?

Man UPS is a pain in the butt, I have a power supply that was supposed to Arrive yesterday, they pushed it to today, then when I check today they pushed it
to tomorrow.  They are preventing me from getting another computer up and crunching (Redneck 1).  Will post a picture when I get the power supply in of this
new (to me) beauty.
