I dunno maybe he went on to say this in another email " I don’t think I have ever seen so many customer’s pre-order a product, I certainly hope it doesn’t let anyone down. Mark Foley Returns Specialist "

It's the first of its kind. Hopefully ASUS has enough to supply everyone.

yah, this product release is very odd. Usually we get all the new stuff first in the USA and Europe and the rest get it 2nd. Not this time around.

I'm starting to think this monitor doesn't even exist. And that all the photos taken in people's home's over in Europe were all photoshopped. To what end... I dunno?!? But I'm sure it has something to do with the Illuminati.

watched the entire twitch feed with Pete from nvidia and Tom (@sshole) in my OP AMD biased reviewer. Broke down Gsync again. As usual people really don't understand how Gsync or Variable refresh rate works. People also thinking that DP1.3 magically allows a monitors to have variable refresh rate. Takes a lot more then just DP1.3 it takes a special logic aka scaler board.

Dang.... those bastages want $73 worth of tax for this monitor in my state. :( Nice find though.
That's why I bought mine from PCnation for $$783.46 Under MSRP and shocked I didn't have to pay a hefty CA tax. Free shipping too.

Hey guys, One thing I had not done until watching this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_FzXxGVNi4 is the mouse driver and poling rate thing. I guess I never installed the software or drivers for my corsair M65. Now I've installed the software and drivers and set the response or poling to 1ms which the corsair software shows 1ms = 1000 " Report Rate Setting The report rate determines how often the mouse sends data to the system. The default USB reporting rate is 8ms, or 125 reports per second. In its factory configuration, the Vengeance M65 gaming mouse is set to use a 1ms report rate, which means it sends data 1000 times per second. The higher the report rate, the higher the burden on the CPU but a 1ms report rate generally isn’t a problem for modern CPU. However, if your system seems to slow down when using the mouse, you can adjust the reporting rate to reduce the load. To change the report rate, simply click on the button corresponding to the setting you wish to use." one nice thing with the M65 is that once you have your profile set in the software you upload your profile to the mouses onboard memory. This means it's all saved on the mouse and no need to have the corsair software running anymore. I think thats why I never installed their SW to begin with. Night and day difference on my Gsync monitor. I highly recommend you'all do that once you get your swift if you haven't done that already with your respected mouses.

oh snap.... You must be at the location that I was actually 'thinking' about driving into if they actually had the inventory. I might be willing to pay the tax if I can just walk into a store and walk out with one. Especially since returning it might be easier. Only time I ever buy anything in a store is if it's a cpu from microcenter.... but I wouldn't mind buying a large item like a monitor from a store though. I'm actually going to call the store to see if they have one in stock. ----EDIT---- Bah, sales rep told me it's only available online. :(

That's one of the reasons I'm holding out for Newegg...
Heck, at least you guys don't have state income tax (I think?). :) Here these greedy bastages take income tax AND try to get local sales tax applied to any retailer with a base of operations in the state.

At the moment, it probably is. Typically items that say "ship within 24 hours" are not readily available in either of our warehouses.

Just a sales tax here. It would be about $48 for this monitor.
