dustingg watched the entire twitch feed with Pete from nvidia and Tom (@sshole) in my OP AMD biased reviewer. Broke down Gsync again. As usual people really don't understand how Gsync or Variable refresh rate works. People also thinking that DP1.3 magically allows a monitors to have variable refresh rate. Takes a lot more then just DP1.3 it takes a special logic aka scaler board.
Thanks for this info, although people were not thinking 1.3 does magic. 1.3 supports adaptive sync and people are wondering if Nvidia will support it in the future with the new standard, which they are not. What I'm wondering now is, what does it take to get g-sync surround to work today? We know now that it takes 3 gpu, but it didn't work before. I guess they are using an unreleased driver
W7 Pro 64, MSI X99A Godlike , I7-6850K, EVGA GTX 1080 Ti, G.Skill DDR4 3200MHz 32GB, Samsung 960 EVO 1TB M.2 and 850 EVO 1TB SATA, WD Velociraptor 1TB, Corsair AX1200W, Acer Predator X34 and Oculus.

That's what I took away from watching the part about running surround. That currently it takes three GPU's in SLI and they are using a beta driver that they're working on. My guess is it's a "dev" driver currently. I'm thinking we'll see a new beta driver hit Nvidia's site real soon with support for surround using Gsync.

The nearest Frys to me is Duluth, Georgia... Not really an option. It sucks too because Frys always has stuff early and the prices aren't normally jacked up. Why can't they just make everything available online?!?!? Oh well - PC Nation, get yo act together!

If you read the question being asking during the live stream chat, then yes you would have saw first hand the confusion. DP1.3 allows for VR but doesn't make it happen the monitor OEM or Scaler OEM needs to create a board that can support VR. A DP standard doesn't magically make that so. That's all I'm saying.

Are you serious!!! FRYS has it??? I have a fry's in Anaheim CA only 3 miles from my work. I'm stopping by there tomorrow just to see if I can get lucky. Yeah i drove like a bat outta hell once i saw these pics posted on OCN. You better hurry though. They only got about 2 to 3 units to each store and most of the people that bought them up were from california driving to each one that had em. Damn Anaheim is out but San Diego might have 1. on hold with their call center.

Yeah i was thinking the same thing but i figured that i prefer the peace of mind to not miss out if it gets sold out and buy it locally with warranty in case of any problems on such an expensive monitor.

Hey Kronvict, how long is the DP cable supplied with this monitor? If it's not long enough for my setup (arrangement), I may need to order a longer one and have it by the time I get this. Thanks

Spoke with mark at PCnation, I don't know if he's just being tight lipped or if he really doesn't know when they're getting their shipment in. Annoying! Stopped by Fry's again this morning. I could have them do a store transfer and have the swift tomorrow and pay almost $100 more then what I'm paying at PCnation. what to do....

That's what I keep telling myself but the rep at PCnation isn't reassuring with his "we haven't heard anything from our supplier" repsonse. " Mr. Goseco, Good morning. I unfortunately have not heard anything from Asus as of right now, so we are still in a holding pattern and will try to get you more information as quickly as possible. Well, I said F$*% it! Went back to Fry's and purchased it in store and they'll have the store transfer in by Wednesday or Thursday. I've no experience with PCnation and Sajin said he's never used them before so I'm sticken Fry's and paying the sales tax. I expected to pay that anyway so no big deal.
