I get waiting on a hybrid Ti but why the strix?
From the reviews and everything I've read so far, it's literally the only 3080 card worth a darn. High power limit and clocks well. Also surface mount VRM caps and full ceramics on the back.
Everything points to Ampere having trouble with pulling too much power at higher vcore, so it seems critical to have a card that can get high clocks on moderate voltages, since you can't whack high voltage into them to get them stable.
Fair enough, strix and FE are the only cards I’m looking for outside the ftw3 but I’m not going to cancel the preorder. Jensen just said supply is going to be tight in 2020. If I’m waiting until 2021 for a card I’m just grabbing the Ti or super.
evga 970 ssc to evga 1080 ti sc2 to (hopefully) an evga 3080 ftw3 Evolution.

Gamers Nexus literally set a world record with a FTW3. EVGA obviously has a damn good card here. Zero reason for me to look elsewhere.

Bottom line is there's nothing wrong with the cards - at all. lol I only saw one video of an ROG Strix. It didn't OC any better than the other 3080's on the market.

I only saw one video of an ROG Strix. It didn't OC any better than the other 3080's on the market.
The FTW3 are disappointing compared to the competition. Asus really stepped it up this gen. As a big EVGA fan, this is tough for me to admit. I don't even own a single ASUS product.

...I would get the impression that your back ordered card has shipped if you got shipping notification from them and you haven't ordered anything else.

I wouldn't mess with it i got in on the backorder for the ftw3 as soon as they opened them up on the 18th or 19th if i remember right. I ended up getting a xc3 order on amazon which has yet to ship unfortunately but i gave away my spot in line for the ftw3 backorder to a guy i had spot 46 in line and he has yet to hear anything nor has his card been charged. So honestly i wouldn't mess with adorama unless they open up back orders on a brand new card they don't have on their page yet like the strix or auoras master

Just checked my order status still backordered, so the CS reps are not shipping but might be receiving inventory. Adorama is on Jewish holiday till the 12th when normal business operations resume. I am happy that EVGA implemented the que system for their cards so no people who will actually use them get them. Also RIP Eddie Van Halen https://www.adorama.com/g/nyc-store

Has anyone gotten an Adorama card yet?
Someone itt reported last week that SUPPOSEDLY some people on another forum or discussion website received their back orders. I am skeptical personally. I don’t believe anyone got cards from Adorama yet myself until I see screenshot proof. One thing I do find weird is the WHY? NewEgg seems to be getting cards almost daily from EVGA. Why has Adorama not received any yet in the 3+ weeks after launch when other eatilers and retailers are getting shipments every day?

They never had a quote.
Also not "large", but they are a legit company. One medium size retail location. I'm hoping Early November, but we'll see.
