(LOOKs like the Feedback in this thread says best to AVOID this site) I like my weed wacker - Kobalt 80V & wanted some different yard tools & found a site - much Cheaper than Lowe's Anyone ever order from ..... kobaltoutlet .com ? (edit I broke the link ... I would not use this site) Does this seem like a legit site ? (LOOKs like the Feedback in this thread says best to AVOID this site) These are some excellent prices. (too good to be true?)Kobalt Cordless Electric Chainsaws 80-Volt Max 18-in Brushless Cordless Electric Chainsaw 5 Ah (Battery & Charger Included) $399.00 $91.00 Kobalt Cordless Electric Pole Saws 80-Volt 10-in Cordless Electric Pole Saw (Battery Not Included) $199.00 $92.00 Kobalt Cordless Electric Leaf Blowers 80-volt Max 630-CFM Brushless Handheld Cordless Electric Leaf Blower 2.5 Ah (Battery & Charger Included) $229.00 $80.00 It seems that the "PayPal symbol @ the bottom of the page" --> is for a "PayPal CC" .... Not going to the site PayPal to make a payment Shipping is listed as free. Did NOT find any mention of "Reconditioned" or "Factory Seconds" - did I miss something ? I was told at my local Lowe's, that they are discontinuing the Kobalt 80V products Edits for clarity & to Warn others EDIT Change title (was) Kobalt 80V yard tools, wanted another one & found an site - much Cheaper than Lowes

My antivirus sent a warning about the site, you might want to be careful.

The whois seems sketchy and returns to an apartment in China. Probably too good to be true or not genuine Kobalt tools. Personally I would avoid. "Domain Information Domain: kobaltoutlet.com

@yaymz That is why I am asking for feedback / "fresh eyes on this" yes, I'll agree that report is Odd to say the least though address looks to be the --> Tech Contact - or am I misunderstanding ? The server being hosted or maintained elsewhere - is plausible - but in China - that is very odd to me???

Hard to believe that Lowe's (who owns the Kobalt banner) would allow this to happen on any kind of legitimate basis. I'm sure the tools are made in China.. and maybe even at the same factory, but I doubt it would be genuine Kobalt. Either a knockoff, Harbor Freight quality, no name brand or scam IMO.

I'd avoid it. You want something that's been registered longer and definitely not in China

Kobalt is a Lowes brand... so if Lowe's has nothing to do with this website then it's not genuine and likely not using genuine Kobalt equipment. Cool GTXI was told at my local Lowe's, that they are discontinuing the Kobalt 80V products
That's unfortunate, my Kobalt weed whacker is either 40v or 80v. Hopefully can source a replacement battery from somewhere once I eventually need to.
Have water, will cool.

You got my hopes up when I read the title on your thread. That is until I read the posts that followed. I like the Kobalt products. I try to buy tools where I can use the same batteries in each. I have a Drill, Jigsaw, Chainsaw, and Weed Whacker that all use the same batteries. Since most came with batteries and chargers, I have a nice surplus of each. 3 chargers and 5 batteries. I think it's the chainsaw and weed whacker that came with the "long run" batteries, but also use the standard one's as well. All 24V. I was skeptical about the 24V batteries holding up with the chainsaw in paticular, but was pleasantly suprised how well it did and how long I could run it.
