Pictures of an upcoming AMD Radeon "Navi" graphics card bare PCB made it to the web over the weekend. The picture reveals a fairly long (over 25 cm) board with AMD markings, and a layout that doesn't match with any reference-design PCB AMD launched so far. At the heart of the PCB is a large ASIC pad that appears to be within 5 percent of the size of a "Polaris10" chip. The ASIC is surrounded by eight GDDR6 memory pads. We could guess they're GDDR6 looking at the rectangularity of their pin-layout compared to GDDR5.

AMD is expected to unveil this card at the 2019 Computex, this June.

Can't wait to see if they can put up some competition,  to drive prices on video cards to a more tolerable level......

And also the 180 pins means that it matches the pin count of GDDR6, not GDDR5.

Buildzoid has a pretty good video on the subject. He calls it "baseless specualtion", but its still educated speculation and interesting.

I hope the best for AMD.

Prices on eBay are bottoming out for Radeon cards. My GTX 1060 though is still respectable enough for gaming today.

Prices aren't going to drop because Navi doesn't have Hybrid RT.  nVidia's GTX1600 series is the preemption of Navi, considering it's Turing w/o Hybrid RT, Navi is just late to it's own competition party.

For Intel processors, 0.122 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].

I am just going to completely avoid talking about ray tracing this time. What a can of worms that topic is.

Is there anything in the GTX 1600 series which is remotely competitive? With two 8 pin connectors, this Navi is going to either be extremely power inefficient, or is going to blow the GTX 1600 series out of the water.

Now, I said that I was going to avoid talking about ray tracing, but since the the GTX 1600 series is probably not going to compare at all with the price nor the performance of this Navi card, I think this Navi card will best compare to a RTX 2060, RTX 2070, or RTX 2080 (for users who don't use ray tracing, or when making the comparison while completely ignoring ray tracing).  If ray tracing is a must for you, probably you will not see this card as competitive.  For others, it may be very competitive.  We will see once the price and performance is known.
