bcavnaugh Once MOP reaches 200 Million I will be stopping to Fold for awhile. If Stanford cannot correct the Problem with Core 21 P96xx and some P97xx Projects or Core 21 in General then I must pull out as I cannot afford the cost of wasted Electricity. Sorry Team but Money is Money.
I don't blame you bcav.... for me it's been 2 weeks of total frustration and I'm maybe doing half of what you're doing. I'd like to thank you for pulling out all the stops and leading this MOP team by example.
I certainly understand your frustration and give you guys a lot of credit for sticking it out to the end. I'm curious of either of you have lowered the P2 Memory speed using Nvidia Inspector as suggested by Grandpa in this thread here: http://forums.evga.com/35560-Last-Stable-Driver-m2411736-p2.aspx#2414485 I don't have the luxury of owning new enough hardware to try this out on but am very curious about the issue.

Yes for the last week. One fix causes another failure and Core 21 (UNKNOWN_ENUM) just have to many issues. Downclocking seems to only fix P9704 from what I am seeing BUT I still see "Bad State detected... attempting to resume from last good checkpoint" on P97xx Projects. This also re-starts the Project so it can take 3 times longer to complete and it still can fail at 100%. And I also changed the PhysX to CPU and still no real help.

I haven't tried that fix, but also seem to be one of the lucky few not affected by the issue.

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing and again sorry for all the troubles you are having - I wish I had the ability to investigate the issue myself. Is it just me or does it seem that a surefire way to pretty much guarantee that Stanford comes out with a new WU that causes major issues one way or another is to run a contest?

If you have client-type beta set, remove it. If you have advanced set, try removing it. If you don't have either, try adding advanced.
I have been running advanced and my work units have gone from 14 completed to 34. Try running advanced to see if it corrects the error or try removing it. Do not use client-type beta at all.

I am set to advanced and have been for the last Two Years! And I have tried removing it and now I have it back. Without it I get nothing but Core 21 P96xx

I understand. I also took my issue to folding forums, and although Bruce was less than pleasant at times, my issue was mysteriously fixed. I requested for users to post their issues on the thread I had there and I also requested the information be shared in a Google document so I could provide updates for him to pass on to Stanford, as we don't get the leisure of being noticed. https://foldingforum.org/...4&p=280730#p280730Feel free to share your information in a place where they can do something. It worked for me, whether it was a result of them or not. There is nothing anyone else can do here. The only thing we can do here, at this point, is guess. That doesn't seem to be pleasing you unfortunately, as we can't see what is happening on Stanfords end. Bruce can at least tell you if the units are being completed he someone else.

"has no way to deal with unstable hardware" If this is what Stanford is saying then I would not waste my time with them. If this was the case then NO Projects or Cores would Complete.

You have made it very apparent you won't share the information, so this will be the last time I acknowledge it. While sharing the other, short work unit failures, they pulled a server offline that was having issues. If you refuse to send the information in hopes they find an error, then there is nothing I can do. I spent a week copying and pasting everyone else's issues from a cell phone, and for someone sitting at a computer with a mouse and multiple windows to refuse to help is something I will no longer concern myself with. Out of all the time I requested the failed units to be placed in a Google Doc, only one person complied and continued to constantly copy and paste filled units over. You have posted information all over here without an issue, but refuse to share it there, so there is nothing more that can be done. I am happy with the results I received to where the problem don't seem to show as many lost units anymore. Did I ignore the "it's just hardware issues" reports until it was fixed... Yes. Because I don't care for that answer. If I had a computer, a keyboard and mouse, multiple windows open at one time, I wouldn't mind helping.. But I am on a cell phone watching people sit at their computers complaining.

I requested the information be posted to a Google Doc.. I can copy a link and paste it rather than copying huge lines of code. As more errors appear, you just add them to one file. Then I asked for people to share their experience on the folding forum themselves. I am guessing your last question was meant to be comedic. Example of why Google document is better than forum posts: https://docs.google.com/d.../edit?usp=docslist_apiEvery single thing needed to be found in one neat place. All we do is click the link. That was why I was requesting Google docs, and then it was simply copying the link to share it rather than spamming every detail that everyone posted.

Not really, I was flowing your Post and read it wrong, after a few more reading I got it for a lack of anything else to say. Sorry no it was not "meant to be comedic". I have HFM in a zip file but from what I see it dose not record failed tasks, I am still looking at it. As far as the Google Docs I can do that but I only have the last 24 hours worth. I cannot find the post about the Google Docs is that over on the Folding Forums? Here are my two log files. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YspQlsZF2VomqKVotsMfhAERACDu7mkhc4zsH_XCBwU/edit?usp=sharinghttps://docs.google.com/document/d/1lDRzfF9t9IhBt0dqqmaT84cMhdKTjTHyyo6IeLZZR40/edit?usp=sharing Can someone test the links, thanks.

That was on this thread when everyone started getting failed tasks consistently.
Seeing that a lot of the posts looked to be cleaned up, it may have been removed, but I am not sure. It is a ways back now.
Even the last 24 hours would be helpful for sure, especially if they are specific work units that are giving the errors.
Bruce is the one that has access to the databases we aren't able to see, and see when tasks are redistributed, so if they are having multiple failures, they can look into it.
Unfortunately, we personally can't look at those databases ourself. I think it would be beneficial if we could, because we could narrow issues down much quicker.
