My card arrived yesterday, sorry for not posting an update here.
I was too busy dealing with fitting this card into my case and some issues I encountered.
I had black screen flickers, weird stripes over the whole display etc., but after some research it turns out I just completely forgot to get a HDMI 2.1 cable for my LG CX.
Worked around this for now by setting the color depth to 8 bit instead of 10 so that 4K@120Hz is still possible without flickering.
I was just afraid we'd have any skip situations again, no worries. That's something I'm wondering about as well, have a C1 and bought a MOSHOU cable for it. https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07XJ12L75 At HDMI 2.0 things are fine and hope it'll stay this way when I can finally switch to UHD120 with all bells and whistles.

At HDMI 2.0 things are fine and hope it'll stay this way when I can finally switch to UHD120 with all bells and whistles.
I ordered this one as I needed an angled cable for my wall mount https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B085GHFMW9/Now I just have to wait for it and three 180° PCIe power adapters I ordered aswell to be able to close my case again :D

Yeah, as my PC is wall mounted aswell I wanted a slightly smaller case and bought a bequiet! PURE BASE 600 Window - which is truly a great case, but appearantly not wide enough for this monster of a card plus those inflexible ends of my PSU PCIe power cables :D Yep, no red lips on my card ;)

I'm really happy for you to see this queue finally moving at a decent pace! : )
On my side, I sent my 2080 on Tuesday from France, EVGA had it on Thursday. They sent the 3080 yesterday, and I should have it by Tuesday next week!
So my GTX 1080 has been put out of retirement for a week. : P

Hi all,
My new card is on it's way to me, should be here Thursday.
Sending the card was quite stressful; I was unable to find out how to print the commercial/customs invoices, in the end I had to print a blank invoice form and fill in as much information by pen and cross my fingers! Luckily it sailed through customs which leads me to believe either the documents are done electronically, or they weren't read.
Hopefully this will be the case for any more UK step-uppers :)
Will pop back Thursday when the new card arrives, good luck to all others who are waiting.

I can't say for certain, but DHL is the standard delivery service in Germany so I'd assume they use it, too.

Hi all, Got my step up notice last week and shipped the card off, sailed through customs in Germany from UK and was quickly turned around thanks to following DataNode's instructions to the letter. Now, here's the bad news. I've just received an e-mail from UPS stating that I've got to pay £147.27 in import charges. I guess you meant October 1st 2020, can't be 2019, 30xx series weren't out by this time. ; )
You will get the 10GB for sure, this is what I get yesterday, don't get any hopes about getting a 12GB. They kinda sped up taking care of EU step up in the last weeks, concurring release of the 3080 12GB. I'm sure they won't send cards which cost about 400€ more than its predecessor to people that already paid step up cost towards the vanilla 3080.
But maybe, if at some point they don't have anymore 10GB to honor long time registered step up, they will offer the possibility for people still on the 10GB queue to move towards the 12GB, but for sure step up cost would be re-evaluated to the new card. Other option would be to cancel step up I guess.
Anyway, I think we might better hope they will have enough 10GB. Because honestly, if I ever had the option to pay about 700€ to trade my 2080 for a 12GB 3080, I'm not sure I would still be interested in stepping up...

Looks like Chinese New Year has killed the momentum.
Even if EVGA sent out emails today, the cards couldn't be shipped before mid-February.
Let's hope it'll pick up then again.
12GB cards at 10GB price, oh I wish! Would only be well deserved after that wait but I don't see that happening.

Just registered my 3070 ti for a step up to 3080. From what I can see the process will be somehow long :) Just to clarify, I didn't receive my 3070 ti yet, but after I do, can I open it and use it without worrying about EVGA not accepting it when the time comes to exchange it for 3080? Thanks

Yes that's the idea behind the step up. You have to wait quite a bit, but while you're waiting you already got a good graphics card. So of course you can use it.

I'm still surprised the 3080 10GB is still an option there. Looks like the 3070 is the sweet spot now since you can choose any better card to step up to. For you it probably may be not as long as it has been for the rest of us, if people posting in here is the main indicator. There have been a lot of people signing up in the first month but within the first week of October sign ups per day have dropped to singles, in November it stopped after half a month, single person in December, two people for 2021 ... Either I missed a lot of posts, people just didn't step up anymore or just didn't post here. After that REALLY rough start and given the pace of those past weeks, it now looks really good. Any now I've probably jinxed it. 😂

Ups is so ****ing bad... with DHL I'd had my card Friday. Ups now ****ed up (due to weather they say, well it's raining, it's not like the world is ending...) and didn't even deliver today. We'll see if they manage tomorrow, it should rain again so maybe I won't get my card till August...

Just realised that I registered for the step-up program with the card I purchased from a retailer that is not on the list of EVGA Authorized Resellers. My card is from PCDiga (pcdiga.pt). Do any of you guys have had a similar experience? So far, I'm in the queue and did not receive anything regarding the invoice. Should do something or just wait? Thanks

Yeah expecting the same, but it's still worth a shot trying to contact support about it. Who knows, you could get lucky, otherwise you'll just have saved time hoping it might go through only to be disappointed months later.
