yea I got 3 kingpins. one hydrocopper and two hybrids. they are all flawless.
Good to see you contributing so much to the problem.
Both of my children are streamers/gamers. We build custom rigs for family fun and it's kind of our thing. I am also obsessively fair with them to the greatest extent possible so if one gets a sweet part we all get one.... Thank God my wife isn't into gaming.

I wouldnt doubt rma'd 3090's are being recycled around.
It truly sucks to spend this kind of money to keep getting a "refurb."
I was lucky mine was bad day one and they sent me a new one.
i hope mine is not a refurb i didnt buy a refurb and certainly dont want someone elses problems trust me no one wants the one i had

the one I got back was not only a refurb, but one with a "hybrid" BIOS flashed on it and half of the RGBs didn't work (likely because of the different RGBs on the different cards).
that said, EVGA sent me a link for the latest resize BIOS for the FTW3 Ultra, I reflashed it, and everything is perfect now.
not sure what the QA/QC process is on the RMA refurbs that get shipped back out, but this was overlooked in mine.

yea the $4k hold on my credit card on cross ship got my wife all fired up....... yikes. I get why they absolutely need to do this, but holy hell. This whole situation is a bad deal. I plan on selling the RMA 3090 we just got back here on the forums next week. This one seems fine and I bumped the warranty to 5 years so it should be fine.

in the end EVGA always makes it right. I can also always pick up the phone and get right through to someone in tech support and that does not happen with anyone else...... I am giving EVGA a COVID pass on this one. Pretty much everything is a little off right now. the new cars I bought have bugs, when we go out to eat its jacked..... everything is off.

sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen.dont think it would be all that hard to prove the cards are defects. theres just no way you could see this any other way.in no way is this the customers fault. i will be done with EVGA after this card.

This is wild!
I'm not alone so don't feel absolutely insane. I plugged my new gpu and all I did was play Apex legends.
It throated like no other. I'm assuming these rma cards are bitcoin mined cards as I just spent all day and now all I get is error code d6.
I don't see myself using another company as then I would have poorer service. Seems to me to be an Nvidia issue over EVGA.
But what the hell is going on!? I'm out now of work and when it booted the screen went black half a dozen times saying signal error. That typically means there is a power issue.
I got a new g2 1300 from evga and tried every new cable, cleared my cmos (sadly did not save settings), thinking it was a mobo issue.
Definitely not the issue. I sadly sent my old gpu back that was thermal throttling now I wish I kept it.
Desperately need to figure how to get this gpu to post as it says d6 on an x99 rampage V which means it detects no display but the lights on the card show.
