I have feeling we won't see any more updates for Z690 and Z790. Their motherboard team has left the company since the owner and CEO Andrew Han is trying to slowly shutdown whole company rather to sell it to someone else. The biggest disgrace is that current owners of these boards who paid big money for them, don't even deserve update from EVGA about current status on Z690 and Z790 motherboard support.

Rather than being held accountable, discussed in popular social media, or sued for false advertising, I am sure EVGA will get another shrug and a pass. EVGA's last pass. EVGA is so lucky and blessed. Someone knows why.

I wouldn't go that far. Anyone who built a company that has lasted over 20 years in the GPU market knows what they are doing. Unfortunately for gamers it's easy to overlook what 24 years working for a company does for someone when they don't have a replacement in mind. At some point people start to consider retirement after 24 years working at the same place.

Retire and leave customers without support for products which they procured like 1 month ago? That is *really* professional. @rulik006 is kinda right, I will copy this here from reddit (removed) With that said, here are some of the things said of the EVGA CEO by current and former employees on glassdoor.com/evgareviews, which reports a 23% CEO approval rating. I clicked around and have never seen such negative things said about the CEO of any company,Here are parts of DIFFERENT reviews: CEO is a micro-managing unstable lunatic who thinks he's king of the universe and treats most of his employees like peasants even though he is the direct cause of most of the problems and makes terrible decisions. I've seen him throw temper tantrums, yell at people, throw tea and keyboards at people. Basically expect to be treated like garbage.Restructure, be rid of Andrew Han, and get a team in place that doesnt cook the books according to whichever supplier that needs them.... you should never have a set of books for each that wants to see themThe CEO Andrew Han is an unreasonable man who on several occasion has openly berated employees, attempted to destroy former employees reputation with slanderous accusations and creates a hostile work environment based on knee jerk reactions to situations.Fire/Remove Andrew Han from any sort of official capacity or decision making. Find a new CEO that cares about the employees and completely restructure the company from the ground up. It's your only hope for survival. This place is a vortex of crap.Shady CEO that yells at people and treat everyone like disposable garbage. Fire the CEO, get someone that actually knows what they are doing. You are a tech company in US. Stop treating your employees like slaves in China. Just watch your company implode and die if you don't change anything. Hope NVIDIA reads this and puts an end to this company. The CEO is like the guy everyone hates and hides from. Word of advice, stay away from this one.The CEO Andrew Han Likes to talk down to his employees and expects them to slave away for peanuts so he can go out and buy his new audi then says that the company isn't making money so no one gets a raise. The management here is horrible I have never seen such a horribly ran company in my life.Don't go to the bathroom more than 2 times a day or Andrew will "own" you. Which getting owned means he rips the soul out of you and if your really luck you may get the hot tea tantrum where his tea ends up in your lap. He has anger problems, broken keyboards and mice in conference rooms called men baby's and worthless when the guys are working overtime, neglecting their families and their health. No COMPASSION, nothing is ever good enough he is never satisfied, never encouraging never inspiring. Always insulting and be- littling. I have worked in many corporate environments and this is a giant joke, spare yourself it's not worth the abuse that he puts everyone through. Andrew Han I hope you see this and I hope you know that YOU did not break me and I am not "stupid" I got out and have never been happier. All the negative reviews are spot on. I've had some bad jobs in my time but this place takes the cake. Pretty much everything about this place is a con. There are several policies violate Labor Law but CEO thinks as long as he provides 4 months year-end bonus (which not everyone can get it) this violation should be acceptable.Fire CEO, then you will find a way outNever have I met a more insecure and vile little man.micromanage is an understatement. Listen to previous reviewers, run while you still can.CEO should be Fired or get terminal illnessMiddle management...there is none. Maybe this is because of the crazy CEO who either destroys people forcing them to leave. Or simply because the company is full of non gifted people. Working environment is worst I have ever seen. There seems to be this big black cloud constantly over the office. Its truly depressing and very negative.CEO treats employees like babies or even worse, dogs. And this kind of leadership style drives talented people away, there were already so many examples.Treat humans like humans.Such a shame you treat your employees so poorly I hope you guys change it up before the company goes bellow up from multiple claims of mistreatmentFire all the management and start over again otherwise this company will dieIf the CEO likes you, you work like hell. If CEO dislike you, he will make it like hell for you to quit.CEO, You time has passed. Time and people have changed.Company is on its way out the way you are running it, need to make a big change fast.Andrew runs Brea like it's Taiwan. He has verbally threatened people.I understand the pressure and difficult as the owner of a devastating company. Learn to grow up and control your emotion. BE PROFESSIONAL. I tried to warn everyone.... here, on evga's discord, and other places. Those of you with these boards I do feel for. Some of you in this post didn't see my warnings. I also said those of you who got the extended warranty you better get that refund while you still can. You are not going to be able to collect with most of EVGA's revenue out the window. Since Andrew Han took advantage of Keith Rochford being sick to force Keith out plus get his part of the company, nothing has been the same. It's been a slow decline, EVGA had the dream team Kingpin and Shamino thanks to Keith, Andrew messed that up as well. Sadly Anrew because of his ego, thinking he is so important crashed and burned the company thinking he would teach Nvidia a lesson. He thought nvidia needed EVGA not EVGA needed nvidia. All he is done is destroy what he helped Keith Rotchford build, Keith is actually the one who gave EVGA its original principles to business model not Andrew Han... EVGA's reputation is fading fast with what we are seeing, and now it's legacy. It will leave a many of its diehard fans with a bad taste in their mouth how things have gone. As for your boards with no support, you can hope Kingpin gets someone to make a custom bios for it, find someone who actually knows what they are doing to make a custom bios for it. Keep the board as a collector's item, or try to sell it and get an ASUS or whatever companies board you want that still has support. I highly suggest you get a Gen II board for your 14th gen cpu's so you actually get the full features of 14th gen. Otherwise things may not go like you planned until some bios updates later as it seems some companies 14th gen bios updates for their gen I boards people are having DDR5 speed issues they should be able to run easily. GL Everyone, EVGA RIP... Wish Keith R. remained in the picture.

I picked up the Z790 Classified expecting it would have support based on the previous statements. I'm still in the return window thankfully. On the phone their tech support stated the new bios had been requested and there was no ETA. It's a real shame as the board features are amazing, but I don't think I can keep it at this point. The 10G lan, high speed USB-C ports, and complete lack of RGB led nonsense were what really sold me on it. Without a solid ETA I guess it's getting sent back and I'm on the hunt for another motherboard.

I'm not disappointed or surprised. Since a year now, some sort of exodus started with this company. Han could have been different for sure but he did what he did and the rest is wishful thinking. I'm just sorry for the employees.
R.I.P. EVGA, I remember the good times, even if it's been a few years.

You're good to go with a 13700K - a 14700K has an advantage of plus 5%, incl. more demand on power supply. If the board is in perfect condition, keep it. That's my advice.

I got my Z690 Classy when it came out and paired it with my 12900k. The internet seems to have mention of the 14900k being similar to the 13900ks, but I’d be worried to try. Now I’m thinking my only best bet is a 13900ks, but their dang prices haven’t come down which is odd.

I was really hoping to be able to use a 14th gen just in case. It's only a $30 difference between the 13/14700k. The end of my return window is still a couple weeks out, might as well just wait and see. Has anyone tried just running the new processor in the board with the existing bios?

People have tried 14700k/f and it doesn't work in these boards. You can get 14900k/f running, but it is missing some of the new features and not fully supported.

No, because EVGA motherboards use American Megatrends Inc (AMI) BIOS and it is closed source. I think you need to sign NDA agreement and purchase license in order to have access to source and pay with it. Probably AMI does this with motherboard vendors who use their BIOS.

I think it's better just to face it.. there won't be any new BIOS for EVGA Z690 or Z790 boards since they don't have anyone to produce it! Their whole motherboard team is GONE. Vince Lucido, Alex Yang and all other BIOS engineers are not working for EVGA any more. I bet there won't be any EVGA in 3 years from now on since current CEO and owner Andrew Han is trying to shutdown this company and retire, than to sell it or name his successor with different vision for the company.

I had been away from this Forum too long and when I saw the price drop on Amazon I purchased a Z790 Classified. I was waiting for a new case too, so the board sat sealed. By the time I came here looknig for a new Bios upgrade I was outside the Amazon return window. I am going to try and ask but I doubt Amazon will budge. I love always loved Evga for the service, updates etc. but those days are over... Here's hoping I can return it, if not I will use it and just get something to work, not like I will have any choice now will I...
