I just canceled my 2080ti XC preorder to buy the FTW3 edition instead. However I'm a European customer and it's not available in the EU shop yet.
However I'd prefer to buy from a US reseller who's not EVGA, for example if it was available from Amazon I'd get it in a better EUR/USD rate than from EVGA.
So, any Amazon-like resellers who ship to EU at a better rate than the one mention in EVGA EU?

Not worth it, EU's 20% additional VAT will make this way too expensive overall, not to mention shipping costs which definately won't be ~15€ but much higher.

I didn't get an auto notify email on the FTW3, I've signed up 3 times to make sure i'm on the list. I messed up by not subscribing to these threads. Ugh, mostly just frustrated with myself. Hopefully more coming.

Keep an eye on this thread, Jacob usually posts in this thread when more are available. Also use the email auto notification option, I got an email pretty quick when this last batch was available to pre-order.

I got a FE 2080 Ti on preorder from NVIDIA. Got it in while the presentation was still happening, so hopefully it will ship with the first batches. If I have to wait until October I'll probably cancel for the EVGA FTW3 Hybrid, instead.

I went for the FTW3 and it is still is showing estimated 3-4 weeks for me but it was weird since I saw the preorder shipping date flucuate and change from 2-3 weeks to 3-4 weeks.. There's a post on reddit I just saw that that most of the press hasn't even received their review samples and is pushing the NDA review to be on the 19th just a day before the official release of these cards.

you think just the shipping and VAT costs over the sticker price will make it not worth the purchase?! have suspensions there will be many mad early adopters soon.. I am very skeptical about its launch, NDA practices not to mention the failed try with the GPP and published benchmarks comparing 1080 vs 2080. This Pascal refresh aka 2080 only has 13-14% greater raw compute power.. is that enough for 30-50% greater benchmarks? I don't think so. The tensor cores were probably thrown in for future crypto mining boosts as a backup when gaming sales don't pan out ;)

Call me crazy but I have faith in Nvidia. They may overcharge a bit but I'm not afraid that the cards' power won't be high enough to run 4k at ultra at 100 fps or more... at least as long as the AI anti-aliasing is active.
Think about that... you have an AI core doing the AA, an RTX core doing the ray tracing, and a stronger GPU than the 1080ti with more CUDA cores doing the rest of the work BUT ON TOP OF THAT the GPU core doesn't have to do AA and there's less lighting effects to processed, the RTX core will be taking care of that.
So in theory I'm very confident with the card and I'm not gonna risk it by waiting... I expect the cryptocoin prices to skyrocket sooner or later and then you know what would follow with the strongest cards of the market...
