I'm debating on getting 2x Founders Edition cards this time or waiting for the RTX 2080Ti FTW3 Hybrid. Asked Jacob for an eta on the Hybrid thread but if its anything like the 1080 launch I'm not planning on waiting until November/December just to get a "Soon™". This time the FE cards are extruded Al frames and look really clean. Much better than the crazy angled design of the 10 Series FE

Got my pre-order for a  EVGA 2080 Ti -- from the EVGA online store

Better than the current Nvidia Titan Xp for about the same price = Good Value in my book

besides I sold some cards in anticipation; been waiting to pull the trigger for a few months

    Not I.

I just can't get into the pricing for the alleged performance.  Sure it will be better than a Titan Xp, however, I couldn't get myself into that either.  I am plenty happy with my 1080Ti for now.  I think I'll bite with the 3080Ti next year.

    Despite owning 1080Ti also pre-ordered 2080Ti , Ultra version.

Couldn't care less for FTW edition - a few hundred bucks bigger price tag and few months more waiting for one additional fan, heatsink and beefier VRM with outcome (gaming performance) being same.

Because I know a 2080Ti is going to outperform my 1080Ti, I have the money and I'm planning on going from 3440x1440 to 4K soon. Plus this is in line with me buying a new flagship card every ~1.5 years.

Anyway, I have two 2080Tis on preorder - the EVGA XC gaming and a nVidia FE. I'm trying to find out if by chance the EVGA are reference PCB because EK is saying their waterblocks will be released at launch and I'm on a custom loop. Since the EVGA was slightly cheaper and is scheduled for delivery 9/21 (as opposed to 10/8 for the FE), I'd prefer to keep it but I have a feeling I'll have to go with the FE.

Either way, I cannot WAIT to put this thing on a block and start tinkering.

I'm not. We still have no benchmarks or anything to compare, I would almost at least expect some gains over 10 series. All we know are the ray traced demos, although very early and not in a matured ecosystem yet, are performing quite low 30-60fps at 1080p. I'm sure the process to render such features is quite taxing and not easily achieved. However we need to see normal test outside of the RTX technology.

I have no doubts that it will out perform the 1080 Ti so why not?  It's not like buying a graphics card is going to send me to the poor house.

I ordered the RTX 2080 XC Ultra. I won't need all the power of the Ti, but it will be the perfect upgrade from my 2x GTX 780s. Besides, I plan on playing in 1440p--possibly ultrawide.

I am really loving nVidias design this generation. Something about all that power in such a sleek design and staying within the 2 slot thickness is quite pleasing to witness.

I've been waiting for these cards since last November when I picked up my 4k display. My 980ti has been doing its best, but I was planning on new card coming out in Spring and picking that up. But it didn't happen.

Following the whole Coin miner fiasco I didn't want to chance anything. I managed to get a pre-order on Amazon. I really hope some bench marks will start coming out soon. Heck, we don't even know for sure if the XC Ultra Gaming is even overclocked and not just some huge RGB special edition.

I'm sure you will regardless, but I'm curious how these perform at folding. Like you need a boost CoolGTX...LOL!
It will be a long wait for me. The new pricing structure is a turn off for me. Maybe my thinking is flawed, but I feel they are priced [again] a couple to several hundred dollars over.

I do hope those that ordered enjoy your new tech!!

I would buy one if there was a bench mark somewhere. Why would people order cards there are no bench marks for?

you can always cancel a pre order or return the card/refuse delivery if the performance is bad. but if the performance is good, you're not going to find jack s**t for weeks. you're going to spend all day refreshing pages waiting for something to come in stock or sitting on this message board complaining about manufacturers not making enough cards and amazon/ebay sellers price gouging.

i can't believe i have to explain this. how is this not common sense?
