Thanks! Still have a little bit of fine tuning for the top part though. The outside shells are mirror, but the holes are offset about 1/100th of an inch to the bottom left. Kinda weird but I am working on it.

yea, Rome wasn't built in a day. Its taken quite some time to design and build this block. If only I had more time to devote to the effort. Going to try another prototype tonight (if I can find more 1/2" material)

Nate, Thanks for burning the midnight oil. I have been working on the Z68 board build, and I just wanted to tell you if they use 550 or 560 in the second red the height we were worried about shouldn't be an issue. The boards are exactly the same except the sticker that covers P67 FTW with the words Z68 FTW. I have asked for some help on ides for card arrangement but no joy for my PhysX and sound card but I am glad we are putting water on the N200 chip because it will be getting a lot of work. By the way in case I didn't mention it the other day The Vreg Blocks really look like factory designed. You are awesome dude.

Thank you all for the kind words. unfortunately my current machine is having problems where a complete tear-down was necessary. The prior repairs to it still will keep the down time to a minimum, but I have to re-engineer the upright column (Z axis column). On the bright side since I was already planning on fixing this machine up, I already have some parts made for it. I was hoping to enlist the help of the uber machine I was building, but since that one is not done yet, I have to do this all by hand (again!) Rest assured, I built this machine by hand the first time, so I can do it again. It will be the sole focus of my efforts this week (much to the dismay of my family) I guess I can post pictures of the machine repairs in the meantime?

My blade gave out with 1/8" of material left on my current mills column. On the bright side, it was cut, and squared by a local machine shop. Progress should go smoothly from here on out with regards to the repairs of my current machine.

Nate, I thought I would check up on your progress with the blocks and to see if you were holding down the fort. The Z68 FTW board has been a bear But i am getting closer to the finish line. I know I will have to tear it down to install the the blocks when they are done but it will be worth it.

Nice Nate, what did everything set ya back for, "cost"? If I can ask? Looking into building a woodshop(small) on my Mom and Dad's place, Im looking at 5-6K to build a 20foot X 30foot building... And for anyone that dosent believe that it cant be done for 6K or under, I have a question for you. "You dont change ur own car oil do u?" And prob eat fastfood daily or pay 20bucks for a burger and frys....... shane c.

Hard to actually come up with a dollar figure for each machine. It may break even between building one, vs buying one but the advantage to building one from scratch is the experience you gain buy building it. Thats priceless.
I managed to convince the wife that i needed more space and i am going to move a wall over and I get more rooms. 4 feet more space which wil be where i keep the larger mill i am also building.
The concrete isnt fully dried sadly, but it will be dry enough for me to coat it with resin hopefully tonight.

Ive got some pretty good ideas for adding some depth to my woodwork, thats hardwoods too. Adding art work, and then wood carving and woodburning the line art with some shading. Example, do like sports, gamer, or Knights & Dragons themes art work on coffee table, end table, custom desk, dinningroom table, kitchen cabinets, entertainment cabinets and the same for HTPC( I can ship these) wood cases, and full tower case local, add that same artwork/woodburning. And maybe even do XBox cases. So to ramble on your post Nate, but I think its awesome u working for urself and the wife backing u up. Like this woodshop for myself, I can build on a foundation, not contrete, and wont bother my back and can take breakes when I need too. Kitchen work dosent pay and that concete floor hurts like heck...... We get pics of the new layout, when ur finnished?
