Higher price?  I would think so.  I hate to admit it, but if they don't take the profit, the scalpers will.
 
And I agree- 3080/3090 I'd buy in a heartbeat.  I have saved enough to buy whatever I can get my hands on.  Originally I wouldn't have considered a 3090.

Honestly, the 3080ti launch is going to be worst launch of all GPUs so far... everyone wants it so expect servers to crash.

I read there are a few ways to get to Elite member status. If you've bought two qualifying purchases. I bought only EVGA for at least 10 years straight. I went away with the GTX 900 series through the 2000 series. I don't know if he's still here, but I've spoken to Joe Darwin, who was at the time VP of sales I think. Anyway, he's personally helped me from step-up's to replacing a couple of faulty cards through the years (it happens). 

Anyway, I don't qualify, but my question is it says you can also have Elite member status via how many forum posts. I first read that you needed 100 forum posts within a year, but now it doesn't specify. So, does anyone know if it's within a year or 100 in total? I'd like to verify that, please.

N/M, apparently I am a member. I guess all the stuff I did in the past counts. It's stuff like this that makes me love EVGA. I was involved in the forums more in the past, but I haven't really been involved again until recently. I'll be honest and say that I obviously want the RTX 3080, even the RTX  3080 Ti if I can get it. I'll definitely come back to EVGA if I can buy a GPU! I would really love to know the price on 3080 Ti though. I've been holding back most of my stimulus to get one. I barely have enough to buy a 3080 Ti.

It only states 100 posts, does not mention anything about having to do this within a year. So I guess if it's 100 post over 10 years or 10 days should not make any difference for your elite membership eligibility. I'll confirm that once I reach 100 posts soon...

How much do you guys think it will cost for the Ti? I wonder if the retail price will be significantly higher this time because of current demand.


If I were to guess, I would think $1100-$1200, but that's just a guess.  I hope I'm wrong.

Weird I was just thinking about RE8 possibly being very demanding esp. if all the checkboxes were highlighted:  RT, HDR and 4K.  Guess it's not then.
 
Ironically enough I feel driven from consoles, at least non-Switch, because of Sony's cbomb and lack of backwards compatibility for the PS5 regarding at least the PS3.  MS wasn't much better on their end on the latter with it being half-baked with lack of Kinect game support being the nail in the coffin for Series X.  Even then I was likely to buy a PS5 Pro because of the nerfing you mention going on, esp. because of the Series S but then the cbomb was discovered on the PS5 too.

Wouldn't it be much easier to just buy something?
It doesn't have to be a video card.  I'm assuming it can be anything - a power supply, mouse, or any product made by EVGA.
 
From their Terms and Conditions:
 
"The EVGA ELITE Membership is provided as an optional program for registered accounts at EVGA.com with 100 posts on the EVGA Forums, qualifying registered graphics cards, or two qualifying registered products purchased within the last 12 months."
 
They don't go into detail on what those "qualifying" products are.
 
I'm actually really surprised (and quite annoyed) that EVGA thinks it's perfectly okay to give the exact same status to someone who buys potentially thousands of dollars worth of their products, and someone who just posts a bunch of nonsense on their forums.

It doesn't even have to be directly from EVGA I believe, just one of their retailers right nd?  I mean as long as you register it.  Found the capture device on sale.

They go into exact detail about what products qualify for Elite membership qualification. Check https://www.evga.com/member/elite/ for qualifying hardware.

He didn't say what que, but he is in pretty tight with EVGA so I can't imagine it being any other queue. I don't even want to know how many of those entrants are bots with duplicate accounts.

Well i think ASUS is a lot bigger than EVGA, i see them have 1 million in ques for sure.
Their infiltration world wide is for sure one of the best.

Then it becomes a matter of how bad you want it. You either get your number called fairly quickly and the 3080 Ti queue or you look at alternative means of sourcing the product.

For me as an adult with an above average income all those options are available to me. Combine that with the fact that I'm a bit of a brand hoe then I'm willing to wait a bit or do what's required to get what I want.

I don't whine or don't complain I don't throw my fists up in the air and scream why why do they not return my loyalty? Being on the high end of the computer hobby spectrum is not cheap and it requires creativity as well as deep pockets.

This is not going to happen. Would be nice in a perfect world but never in a millions years they are just gunna have to keep waiting. or plan to purchase the 3080TI on launch day.

That is correct. You can view your current queues by clicking MY EVGA at the top of the page and selecting My Notifies on the left column (near the bottom). I suggest hopping into a random queue to try it out before launch day. This page will also let you know if any notifications have been sent out. (so you can check your spam folder if one is missed) I would recommend checking this daily if you're getting close to the front of the queue (Check the spreadsheet threads for this info)
