From what I have been hearing, 3080 ti will be priced much higher and perform between the 3080 and 3090 wich is hardly noticeable vs vanilla 3080 but will have double the RAM. Who knows! I suppose time will tell

The 3080Ti will have 12GB. The 3080 has 10GB. Not double.

12 is such a strange bump, if you are going to increase bandwidth and it requires opening more channels I'd expect them to double the memory.  But then again that would eat even more 3090 sales...

The full 3090 has 12 memory controllers but sticks 2 x 1GB chips on them. If the 3080TI has 1 chip per channel then 12 is the max, 2 chips per less channels and some number in between would cripple overall bandwidth.

This is why I think 12gb is the sweet spot. Enough vram for all games (I play at 3440x1440) without having to pay a premium for excessive memory - all while giving you the bandwidth of a 3090. With resizable bar the 3080ti will beat the 3090 when it comes to gaming me thinks.

Honestly I hope EVGA changes the criteria for elite when they see how many spam posts are on the forums, something like making the actual 24 hours period for the 3080ti restricted to people who only bought their products within the last year, for high in demand items I mean, they can still use the 100 post elite status to get deals on other hardware, but GPU's need to have a higher standard to avoid scalpers.

you think Scalpers havent bought evga GPU in the past year ?, its easier for scalper to sign up with a previous evga product than it is for them to painstakingly go through the effort of making 100 posts or watch twitch

Honestly, i think that someone who goes on to write 100 quality posts or answers is just as much eligible for membership as someone who has bought their gpu's earlier. I get that people want to limit the amount of artificial elite membership accounts but it should not be aimed at those who actually put effort into their posts (unlike the 3 word 5 word game spams that are going on in the forum - they should be banned)...

Lol I used to play minecraft just a while ago on my cpu integrated graphics because I was stupid enough to sell my old gpu during the 30 series hype.

You can go over 16GB RAM for games too. 

It's more about Devs designing to the limits of hardware they know about. 

Sure they *could* go over 12GB. But if they know there's not hardware enough to support it why put in the extra work and effort.

Also bear in mind consoles are a lowest common denominator that restricts what devs will do because budgets and time limits. RE8 is a perfect example. Digital Foundry was talking a lot about how the PC version is kinda lacking graphically in ways that it's obvious they focused on optimizing it for consoles and didn't take the time to bring everything up to PC level.

If a consoles have a specific amount of memory available that is going to be the lowest common denominator.

There must be so many Elite Members by now that the Elite Queue must be massive in of itself.

With Jayz2Cents mentioning that he was told there is a queue out there with over 1 million(he didn't say which one, although I'll be unsurprised if it is the EVGA non Elite queue) I imagine the Elite queue is going to be super full. It would be insane if the queue he was talking about is the EVGA queue for Elite Members...

I saw that episode yesterday and was like, whelp, there goes that ;p lol... Im still going to try, but I have no illusions that I will get it timely.
