I can only get it to use one of my 690's. Anyone able to use two 690's with the demo?

What driver?

I get 21 fps on a single GTX 670 2GB reference.

Everything maxxed at 1080. 100% GPU load and 1898MB memory usage. Appears to be quite smooth though.

PrecisionX OSD won't display anything. Weird. I pressed F1 and nothing happened.
Using FRAPS, average is around 35 fps.

VRAM usage 2160 MB, with Windows Aero enabled.
At desktop VRAM usage is 350 MB, so I guess the real VRAM usage for new Dawn with Aero disabled would be 1810 MB.

1920x1200. Ultra is on. eVGA GTX 670 4 GB SC 2-way SLI.

Nice to see it utilizes my gtx 690 to it's fullest, max fps was about 55 fps, lowest 32, average between 38-44, which, as far as the single gpu scores above are concerned, is on par with SLI ^^

Shame we'll never see games that push graphics to the extreme as long as console hardware is designed to last for a decade >.>

Well i just tested it out but it only uses 2 of my 3 670's which is a shame but none the less @5760x1080 on Ultra 99% GPU utilization i get around 15 fps with everything stock, still looks good but a little jittery. 4098x768 is the sweet spot for 5760x1080 with my 670's at least. Oh and around 2000-2020MB used.

I guess that the upcoming GK114 GPGPU would be able to run this souly at 40 to 50 fps or something, just a rough guess there

I can't believe you're complaining! I would be happy if I could just afford one 690!

hm, ok. Is it normal for 64bit version to crash and burn after a while? I get hard locks, with black screen and everything...

With 690 @ 1200mhz, I'm averaging 39-40fps lol... and yet, one of the gpus tops out at about 110% power usage whereas in heaven 3.0 it reaches 135%...

Has anyone tried this demo on Windows 8 Release Preview 64bit? Neither the 64bit or 32bit executables work, they both crash on launch after the screen flashes a bit with a "DawnXX.exe has stopped working."

Using 304.79 driver and a single GTX 285.

Re:New Dawn demo now available for download 2012/07/24 17:39:43 (permalink)
With my hydro copper 690, it ran between 37 to 55 FPS, mostly 40 plus FPS. I was not too happy with my new card since it has no overclock headroom, but it seems to be doing ok here even at stock speed(993Mhz). It doesn't has any problem exit the program in Window 7-64 but would hang when exit in Window 8 preview. I think this demo made an excellent stress test program, if I tried to increase just 50 offset in GPU, the system would crash.

I'm at the same FPS as neal with 2-2GB 670s.  I get between 30-45, depending on the part of the scene.  I'm running at stock clocks, I should overclock and look again.

Jacob's fps is pretty impressive, but he is using 680s.

One thing I had an issue with after several runs was rendering of the overlays and Nvidia logo at the beginning changed (more pixelated, overlay wasn't properly antialiased is best I can describe it).  Reboot, problem goes away.  I think the demo is buggy - at least I hope that's what's happening.  Things like that make me paranoid.

As others have noted, Precision X was indicating that one of my 3 cards was at ~2% during the 32bit run. These stats are from the 64 bit demo.
