Finally finished the first production block!  I will post some pics in the morning.  It won't be long from this point.  STILLLLLLL waiting on a 3/8" carbide end mill in the mail!

This is a special block for a customer who will have it nickle plated, AND chrome plated, so they went from the sand blaster directly into bags.

I plan to spend a good portion of the evening down there.  Especially since there is a tornado watch tonight.  no better place in the house to be then in the basement.

Getting down to the final 2 VR block sections.  Things should flow smoothly after that.

All blocks will then be sand blasted, and those who want brushed metal will have it done after that.

Then coating... and shipping!

I will certainly try it out on a scrap piece of Aluminum first before I go screwing up any copper.

I am either an idiot, or a genius.  I found a way to couple 2-3 air compressors together.  I have both of mine coupled together for almost 48 hours holding 100+ psi.

Now I can probably sandblast twice as fast.

You know if you add a 3rd one there was a guy I saw a few years back on TV whom had done that then attached it to a generator and used the air compressors to power a car. when the video was aired they had already driven the car for over 10000000 miles. so please put the instructions up on how to do it.

heh.  I will post a picture of the adapter I assembled.

I finally recruited some help in the basement, as I was getting a bit inundated down there.

she looks like she is loving helping dad finish his projects!.

as far as coupling your compressors, that is a solid method. we have the 150 gallon and thew 25 gallon coupled and works nicely for constant flow 150 psi for multiple machines.

So apparently I am a genius, just not the first to think of it.  Thought about "borrowing" my dads compressor because it still dips below 100 psi.   The adapter allows for 3 connections, but its meant for 1 compressor and 3 outputs.  No reason it won't work the other way.  100 psi is still 100 psi.

I meant to say my 150 and my 250 gallon, lol but yes, what you are doing should work fine as long as there isnt any one way valves going the wrong way in the manifold.

I'm hoping he will make some cpu blocks as well. now that the build is coming together, I need 2!!!please

maybe the easiest way would be to make just a top to fit an existing full base. I have a couple of danger den mc-tdx that would love new full copper tops.

I don't think they will match perfectly.  Might look weird having the 2 different colors on top of each other.  In any case, your blocks should be done today.

I had to take a "tactical pause" and clean up my basement.  my 40 square foot workbench was missing.  Also the floor was hard to find.  Couldn't work in those conditions because it was taking longer to find bits, then it took to use them.

Lots of awsome work here Nate!  I just wish I had more income atm to finish my water loop.  Just finished moving to Norfolk VA and the truck took a crap on me on the way up so it will be a while before my loop is done.... perhaps by then you'll have those CPU blocks   Keep up the good work!
