Took long enough, but I finally got an O-ring into it.  Had to completely re-design the interior of the block.

I am still torn with whether or not to mill fins into the top portion.  The absence of fins on the top portion forces the water to accelerate through the fins on the bottom block closer to the chip.

So I am trying to decide what color fittings to use on the solid copper block.  Hmm.  Right now I am torn between black or unfinished pure brass as linked below.   I'm probably going to go with full copper EK CPU blocks as well.

well, if you want stainless screws, then get chrome fittings.  If you want black screws, then get black ones.  I can't say i am a fan of those brass ones, they won't match at all.  Again, up to you.  If you can hold out on a CPU block I am working on that ACB again.  Once this batch of SR2 blocks are done...then back to work on that.

Good point, I forgot about the screws.. black it is then.  I'd love to have matching blocks so I'll stay tuned for your CPU blocks as well.

Matte black is still my favorite but it looks like AlphaCool now has some copper fittings.

nateman_doolink?

I can't figure out AlphaCool's website as it appears their Deutsch to English translation is broken but here is a link to one of their new copper barbs.

I don't think it would match perfectly.  I think it would be close, but in all honesty your barb is covered mostly by tubing anyway, so why pall all that much to get imported from Europe for something that will be covered.

Holy crap Nate!

Awesome work!

Where do you get custom O-rings for the size you need? Or do you just design the O-ring slot for some standard sized O-ring you are able to procure?

Thank you for the kind words!

I made the O-ring with O-ring cord stock.  Sealed it up with special glue.  I think I found a standard size though.  its very long and thin.
