That's what I was thinking too. Not sure how a bot would bypass the queue (unless the bot begins the queue the second the server posts more stock)

Surely there is a delay between when the system is notified of stock available and when the post or queue actually *publicly* starts, there lies the opportunity to get into the queue before real people can. This is why countries and continents lay down their own cables closer to the NYSE so they get information milliseconds before anyone else. Because milliseconds are enough of an advantage to keep normal people out of the loop long enough for big players to make all the money.

I was able to purchase a evga 3080 xc3 ultra from Best Buy through the fixitfixitfixit YouTube and Discord alerts this morning (now yesterday morning) for my bro-in-law. My co-worker was able to buy a evga 3080 xc3 ultra also, and a evga 3070 xc3 ultra through Best Buy yesterday morning too. He is luckier than me... he also got a evga 3060ti and a evga 3070 xc3 ultra last month. He isn't scalping... all purchased for family and friends at msrp. He's the one that told me about the the fixitfixitfixit YouTube and Discord alerts.

In Canada, it is not only the bots, but also the decrease in supply of 3000 series cards. For example, check the EVGA RTX 3090 XC3 ultra gaming card on bestbuy.ca site. There were many Canadian reviews of that card in February 2021. In recent days (since March 2021), there were practically no Canadian reviews - the only reviews posted were from bestbuy.com in USA.

This doesn't make sense to me. The CAD is a lot stronger than it was when the MSRP of these GPUs was set. Wouldn't it make more sense to sell them in Canada and get more money? For example an EVGA XC3 is $850 on Best Buy US and $1150 CAD on Best Buy CA... which is $950 USD. It makes sense that AMD is reducing the Canadian supply of cards because they update the price every day based on exchange rate... but for other shops, I don't get it.

I was on discord channel namely fixitfixit and I heard lots of people getting their cards from the bestbuy drop, of they got them cards they probably beat bots which is not possible according to what was written above, so bestbuy has a little better system than other websit s atleast where real people can get graphic cards.

I am waiting for the next drop now, from others that got their cards, they told me to check the history of cards that are dropping, for example if i want the founders edition card, just keep refreshing that only page and when you see add to cart do it asap, if you get notifications from discord groups or some other groups you lose lots of time, next thing is you see that waiting text, keep a good eye on that, as soon as it turns yellow (add to cart again) just spam it. you will land your graphic card, auto clicking softwares also help for fast clicking, thats what other people who got it told me to do !

My other issue was that i was at work when it dropped, so i couldnt give full attention to it when i was trying. it would be nice if it actually reserved it for you once you got it in your cart and if they actually had a capatch running on it.

The 3080 stock was also way less than before... They also sold out way faster than before. There also weren't regional alerts like there usually are which indicates that there were fewer cards everywhere... Definitely going to the 3080ti stock. There might be like a full month of stock to the 3080ti on release.
