At this point, expect to not see anything ever and then be pleasantly surprised. This way you can't get your hopes up or let down when it doesn't happen. Four pity cards in two months is completely ridiculous

As much as I hate to say it, i think our next best drop date will be the week of the 10th. Typically we'll see drops on the 12th or 13th of the month. Looks like April was (mostly) a complete bust. We haven't seen a real drop since Chinese new year. Hopefully, there will be a fresh wave come through soon.

It's possible that's exactly why they extended the grandfather pricing

I reached out to Jacob about drop information, but he has not replied. Hoping he does reply. It's a hit or miss for replies from him, at times.

Good news for @enewt from this post here: Nereus Per Jacob just now on Twitch, 3090KPHC (card + block) may be available within next 1-2 weeks - keep your eye on the EVGA Twitter account for announcement of specific time it will be available for elite. Limited supply.
But I feel that this will definitely impact the drops for the KingPin hybrid cards.

Shouldn't they be putting ALL the 3090 chips in Kingpins for now since that's their highest margin product?

I think in order to produce KP cards to run high OC and high stock frequency they need very high quality chips...and many chips wont make that cut

I, for one, am ok with it taking a little longer to weed out the best. Much better than them rushing cards..... (not that EVGA would do that) And now we have some hope for next week....

True, I'm hoping to see a larger drop at least for the HC one so we can try to sign up for either one right.... but I do think it would make sense to put more chips to the HC side for now to support the product launch at least

The Kingpin is EVGA's most expensive card, but I'm not sure it's their best money maker. I'm sure they are paying someone to put that Kingpin name on it and the time it took to develop the board has to be spread out around less cards being sold which would decrease the profit from each card due to cost allocation per unit. In addition, I'm not sure the Kingpin is actually comprised of binned parts. If it was, wouldn't you think they would include that in their marketing to help boost sales and create a larger market for them? I might have missed the binning info, but there are a few here who have Kingpins and for what ever reason their bench scores are close to other non-LN cooled 3090s. I know the power delivery and PCB layout are different between this and the 3090, but is there something out there that absolutely shows that these cards are binned? The reason I want the Kingpin is that it seems like they have a better power delivery layout than the standard 3090 and having the opportunity to own a Kingpin is something I would want to say I did/had. I should just name my pc "overkill" since i don't really need all the performance I built into the pc and with the future open loop system i am planning based on my current needs.

I believe this is where people will disagree... What about those who only waited for 5~6 month anyway for the HC only... You only look at one side of the coin. I would be happy to put my hand on either... But I want the HC version, and might not even be able to get one at all... It is a limited edition. So there is no finger, but whatever they do one side will always say such thing... It's sad.

You're welcome to disagree all you want but the better way to handle that would have been to have release both signup's at the same time. You can't get in line for an unreleased/unannounced product. We've been sitting in line. It's different

As much as I respect your opinion, releases of the same chip but of different offering options at a later date should not impact the current chip, i.e. the hybrid KingPin, in terms of availability. Yes I realize that the Kingpin is a limited release.

I don't think there is an opinion in what I said (it is call player the devil's advocate), but trying to cool off that "GIANT finger for [blah blah]"... Frustration is understandable, but there is also misconception, if you read one of my previous post in this same thread... I believe the best option is 1 queue, and when your time come you choose between both option (HC vs Hybrid). At the end of the day, EVGA decide how they want to operate, there is no finger to anyone, they are not a charity, they have ways to deal with that you like or not, but saying the middle giant finger from there action, when they are just the best at handling the current shortage, is inappropriate. This is why I voiced my concern.

Don't cherry pick my words to self validate. My response was to YOUR opinion piece not what EVGA is, or is going to, do: "I do think it would make sense to put more chips to the HC side for now"

Interesting I raise concern on "GIANT finger", that by the way you said, instead of your opinion on the matter (which is yours, and I have the right to have mine), how you turn this is very interesting... Remember this part:
"So there is no finger, but whatever they do one side will always say such thing... It's sad."
Don't try to patronize, and just be happy when you will put your hand on it, and I wish everyone to have a chance sooner than later, which is all that matter nowadays.

Outlandish prediction time: Based on ~4.5 months of time and previous drops we have covered: 5.5 days of the queue for the KPE (12/16 to some midpoint for folks on 12/21). Based on this average, I suspect that after next week's (potential) drops we will get through most of the 12/22 folks and that'll be that. I hope I'm wrong but there it is. I'd welcome any other opinions, let's take your bets/predictions! EDIT: to clarify - I am predicting we move up 11 slots after "may's" drop. I suspect each day has some obscene amount of sign-ups that are not being reported. It looks like small drops to us but since we have no real view of the queue, the easiest thing to look at is the date.
