3090 kingpin on flebay 19 bids and at almost 4k blows my mind

It’s getting ridiculous, isn’t it? I truly can’t see an end in sight.

Had to be somewhere that got some in stores or they pulled a "have my neighbor queue for one" to make the money or something to that effect, because they are definitely checking to make sure the same person can't get 2 from the queue as best they can (because some people that legitimately want to run SLi on the forums have said eVGA wouldn't let them buy a second card when their queue spot came up).
 
Last few KPs I've seen on EBay have went up to around 4500, which is just actual insanity, over twice retail.  There's been one or two that have been sold at regularish prices (one was a guy who said it wouldn't fit in his system & sold for $2400 or something to that effect, that was 2 months ago now I think), but I'd bet those ended up being scooped by scalpers & resold.

Yeah, not only that but someone has two brand new sealed 3090 FTW3 Hybrids for sale. How does one swing that? The mind boggles.

What are some practical reasons to run SLI in 2021? From my understanding for gaming it’s effectively dead.

if you could get a Kingpin and sell a 3080 used for 500 more than the KP is mind blowing

With this rate, by the time I could get a kingpin, probably my 2080 super will go for more than the Kingpin! 😳😳😳

Argh, it seemed like the HC block was semi-vaporware, so I'd stopped monitoring the thread every few days, and of course missed the HC block release day! Well, just signed up, I am REALLY hoping I don't have happen to me here what happened to me with the 2 KP 980Ti's I had, a couple months after the blocks were released. Apparently they didn't make enough of them and were sold out, and best of all, they weren't going to be having any more made. I was pissed. Which mattered not one bit, and I was stuck with air cooled. I can't believe missing this by 3 days is going to result in the same thing happening, but then again, it is 2020/21, so who the heck knows?
