I got selected on the Newegg shuffle for Gigabyte RTX 3090. I'm so grateful that Newegg allowed me to scalp myself by paying $500 over MSRP on an item, to include buying an additional motherboard I don't even need or want. 
 
I only did it for this one sad reason: I'll still be able to sell the used RTX 3090, and the brand new motherboard I got stuck with for a profit, even after taxes, Ebay fees, PayPal fees, etc. once I get my KPE 3090 in a few weeks or probably a few months from now (I'm currently #36 in line).
 
What a sad time to be a enthusiast PC gamer right now. I've been patiently waiting over 5 months now for a KPE, and I don't like the downward trend on the KPE 3090 releases we've seen recently which is practically 0 at this point. I just couldn't wait anymore, especially since I have a 4K 120hz OLED monitor being held back @ 60 HZ until I get a RTX 3000 series.

this is how I got my 5900x it only came with a ****ty motherboard combo. Bought the cpu. Sold the motherboard.
 
edit: also that was just the beginning of my horror story. USPS lost my box and when it arrived it was destroyed. Motherboard was unscathed but the box for the AMD cpu was crushed. Checked the CPU and most of the pins were bent to ****. I’m glad they’re still using pins /s

I'm loosing hope gentleman...... Newegg shuffle paid off and I'm sitting here w/ a Strix 3090 White Edition in hand (plus a terrible M/B) and a KPe HC water block on the way. First world dilemmas. I don't actually want the Strix card, yet I'm 65 in que and probably 3 months at best from a KPe card. I guess I'll gamble and hope I can sell the Strix White Edition 3090 when my KPe notify comes through. I'm very nervous about ebay/craigslist/reddit sale when it comes to this much money. 

Other than the KPE (Hybrid or HC don’t really care) Strix white is probably the only 3090 I’d be happy with if I were absolutely unable to get any card from Evga.

I’ll keep trying the shuffle I guess.

I'll buy the White Strix 3090 from you if you sell it when you get the Kingpin. That's the model I've been most interested in.

I'm in the same boat as most of you.  I had a 3070 FTW3 Ultra I was using.  My step up came and because I kept moving back and already purchased over 1k of open loop stuff I made commitment to the step up to the 3090 FTW3 Ultra and the Optimus block.  Don't know when I'll get my Kingpin but I am thinking I am going to get back most if not all my money since both the Optimus block and the 3090 FTW3 Ultra are hard to get.  The white strix will be easy to sell when the time comes.  I think if you put it out to auction you will get much more than you paid even though it's used as long as you keep it in good condition.  Those white GPUs really are unicorns and especially the high performing ones.  I wanted to time the step up so that I would have the Kingpin first, but it didn't work out.  We will see what happens when the Kingpin Hydro Copper comes out.  I am hopeful to get in that line early so I can do my open loop system.  I'm thinking of just doing everything but the GPU now.  Soft tube where the the GPU would be in the loop, but do everything else already.  
 
On the plus side I went out and got a Samsung G7 32" earlier this week.  It's been real nice.  Set up and finding the right Nvidia driver was another story though.  The most recent update was stupid slow considering I have a 3090, 32gb of ram, ryzen 7, and a dark hero board.  I spent like 2 hours downloading and removing drivers till I found one that worked to my liking with testing between each attempt.  Damn, what happened to plug and play.

Got the 20% coupon - 1500 for a GPU is out of reach, but you never know with this situation. Previously, camping microcenter was unthinkable, but now I’m ready to do it.

Wait...been gone for a bit, but the KP queue hasn’t even made it through December?! OOF..

The fact that scalpers/miners can just eat up inventory (not KP’s per se but literally everything else) after how many GPU launches of this crap now is absurd...

Sweet baby Jesus. How often do these cards drop? I’d like to calculate my chances of getting one within 2 or so months(probably -100%, but still)

Oh god, that’s moving slow. 4 cards a month? I expected more movement from the flagship. Guess imma wait 4 years until I get one.

Edit: I surely hope the queue speeds up - I have more faith in this one than the 3897 since this is their flagship card and not nearly as many people signed up for this one.

I signed up at the end of January and based on where I'm at I don't think I'm getting one till July/August.  Your spot in the queue is based on voluntary sharing of info.  I would take position in the queue and multiply that by atleast 3 and that is a best guestimate of where you are.  Then factor in deliveries and then you can figure out when you might be able to get a card.  Sorry for the bad news, but this is what the situation is like based on my 3 plus months in the queue.  

Guess I’m destined for a 3080ti, which isn’t all that bad. Just doesn’t have a 520W vbios and a 360 AIO.
